Well, of course you don't hear about Yu-Gi-Oh anymore if all you go to is Pokemon websites. For me, it's the exact reverse situation. I'm like, "Whoa, there are still Pokemon tourneys?"

For me it's more like "Whoa, there are still people playing damn card games? Whoa."

... yeah, safe to say I don't really care much for the card games anymore. Though I did have a Pokemon deck and still have all the cards I acquired... doesn't really give me any joy.

It's astounding how one can pour such sweat, blood, and toil into a hobby like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon cards, and then realize several years later that it amounts to precisely nothing.

Well, not nothing. I'm keeping the cards, and when the time comes, I'm gonna get some pretty good money if I play my cards right, so to speak, and sell'em to the right person/people.

I don't know if it's the still the most sought-after and expensive Pokemon card, but I still have one of the original holofoil Charizard cards.

Last I heard, that card was worth next to nothing now. Unless you try to sell it to a old school collector.

Oh well. Combined with the crapload of cards I've got, should get SOMETHING out of it. Besides, it's not going to be until another 20 years or so go by before I sell'em.

That's why I only play online.

I' gonna start that too HD. I recently sold all my YU-gi-oh crap and Pokemon crap for a nifty $400 (Yeah, pathetic ain't it...)I can go to college now, instead of playing more shitty card games...

It's a risk you assume when you make a topic. As for me, I had my time with them, then my obsession with them faded out. It's a part of life.

For me I like pokemon its ok but not my fav and please don't swear.

True. I faded in and out of them too. But when I started going to leagues and prereleases, my obsession grew. Now Im obsessed with making a really good deck and going to the City Championships. Hopefully, Ill get to go to the World Championships in Hawaii.
