Yes, here in my homecity, shots rang out as I waited in Bestbuy to buy some blank cds...Couldn't understand the line, until the announcer told us over the intercom where we could locate our PS3s....walked around, not interested, and suddenyl heard a loud bang. Then another. Then another. Shots were ringing out, and I was escorted out of the store with a group by an employee....get the news after the poilce car showed up....5 people injured in order to get a PS3.

That's pretty messed up. I heard a story about a guy who paid a truckload of homeless people to stand in line for him for the PS3.

Yeah, it's pretty nuts. In Conneticut, a line of people were robbed by a couple of teenagers with a handgun and a shotgun. One person got shot in the chest and shoulder when he refused to give up his money, and he's in stable condition now.

People suck. >.>

Guess you didn't follow the PS2's launch in Japan. IIRC, ppl committed suicide because they couldn't get one.

After this event I went to the Gamestop I pre-ordered the wii from and asked if I could pick it up later that day....they had already haerd the news and laughed. >.>

Teej whats your home city and state. In where I'm at North Carolina. I saw several times on the news a whole mob of people were running,shoving,pushing, and yes fighting to get the ps3. They were showing what I thought was funny the police trying to break it up. Some Officers got pushed,punched and kicked aside. They realy wanted that system. For the cops had to bring out guns to scare and stop them. Pretty sad for that best buy.No people got hurt though.

Huh, very interesting. I wouldn't put it past people to kill over something as stupid as a game console! But yeah.. I hadn't heard anything about it, but i've been busy lately.
