Alright, so late (around 2 A.M.) last night I get this call from my friend a few streets down, he says "Dude, My pre-order payed of I HAVE A PS3 NOW! Drag your ass out of bed and get the hell down here!" Naturally I figured losing a few hours of sleep to Sony wasn't new to me so I walk over, 30 minutes later my friend and I are in his Family Room with an unopened PS3, this is practically the Holy Grail right now...so we hook it up and get our controllers going.

We played 4 games last night, Resistance, Genji, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Need For Speed: Carbon.

After lasering our retinas on Carbon for about a half-hour we got sick of it. It was average at best...

Next was Genji, I refuse to call this a game because the word game implies fun. 10 minutes later that disc pops out and Resistance pops in,

This is where the fun began, we played Resistance for an hour and a half before taking a break which we used to calm our eyes down, the game is STUNNING! We played it some more for about another half-hour, we're up to 2 hours 10 minutes and it's about 4:45 in the morning right now.

Marvel was pretty fun and like X-men Legends, but the Graphics were a bit underwhelming. This got about 45 minutes.

My buddy says,"Was that the best launch games or what!?"

I answered truthfully, "THis is definetly not the best launch, i'll give it a 6/10 thanks to Resistance and Marvel."

"Dude Are you NUTS? Those games ruled better than alot of games!"

"I'm sorry but this reminds me of the gamecube launch and my opinion of how the only true Gem was Smash Bros., don't get me wrong, it could turn into a better console, but the launch really isn't all that good."

Therefore, to those of you here who are PS3 crazy (which I don't think we have alot of them) BIDE YOUR TIME! The launch isn't truly worth it with this console although the force is strong for the future. This launch just was underwhelming to me...

Meh, he has horrible taste yes, but at least he knew to buy Guitar Hero when it came out...

Note slightly low scores being recieved by some Wii games, such as Red Steel, as well.

I simply presume that most next-gen launch titles will be a bit overblown, because since it's the next generation people are expecting wowing. I think the best thing to do is give them some time to flesh out.
Except for Super Smash Brothers, of course. XD If that bombs, I will truly be surprised.

The Xbox 360 is a joke! I would rather wait on getting a PS3 until Sony realizes how to fully utilize the system's capabilities.. until then, they're just making games like they used to.

The graphics could be extremely vivid, and the gameplay could be increasingly in-depth. I'm just waiting.. =)

I feel sorry for the XBox 360 users. Knowing how Bungie's been doing, Halo 3 will be the last good game on the system. >.> Everything will seem lackluster compared to it.

My opinion on the XBOX is this, it's nothing more than a PC in a different case. They use all the same components. Meanwhile, the PS2/3 is using new technology. So, if you're gonna get an XBOX, why not just get a badass gaming PC. It serves more than just the gaming purpose, and you'll be able to play your games still.

Meanwhile, I think if I get any of these next gen consoles, it's gonna be the Wii. I was a Nintendo detractor for awhile, but hey, swinging the sword with the Wiimote, thats cool.

Yeah, definitely swinging swords at people with a Wiimote would be awesome! =)
