Was looking around and I found this.
A Wii-bit too late.
hy were hundreds of people lined up in 40-degree weather overnight at stores across Central Florida? It was the second-round of the "must-have" computer game console releases, this time for Nintendo's Wii (pronounced "we"). Again as with PlayStation 3's release on Friday ... too many people, too little consoles. Continue for a photo of one line.
Wiiline This was taken at Super Wal-Mart on East Colonial Drive shortly after midnight, where more than 200 people had gathered waiting for the new toy to go on sale. The 24-hour store started selling the Nintendo Wii's at 12:01 a.m. Sunday -- and its supply was gone in a matter of minutes.
Elsewhere in East Orange, long lines were also spotted of people camping out overnight in the frigid air at Best Buy and Target at the Waterford Lakes Town Center, waiting for those stores to open Sunday morning. Again, not sure how many Wiis those stores have in stock, but judging from the Wal-Mart experience, there are probably more people in line than there are Wiis available.

So, what. Wii shortages across the US now too?
What's sad is that, Nintendo was boasting about 6 million units, and its been one day and they already have shortages.
