OK, I not 100% sure about this but I read in a Tips & Tricks magizine that X7 is going to be cel-shaded. It may be changed but I don\'t know that much about it. One thing for sure is that its gonna be on PS2. Thats pretty much all I know about it because the article was on Megaman Battle Network Transmision and it only said a little about X7.

I may be mistaken, but I think I saw another topic about this. Replied in it, even. Mayhaps this should be closed.

Yes, I\'ve seen screenshots, and an E3 movie to boot, it is indeed done in cellshading. (Same as Rockman EXE Transission, if you didn\'t know). You will also be able to play two player through the levels, one person as X, one as Zero.

For a girl, I sure know a lot about Megaman, eh? You woulda never guessed.

When you say \"cel-shaded\" are you talking about 3-D like Legends? I saw a little video awhile back and the game was in 3-D...

No, no, no. That\'s not cell-shaded. Cell shaded is prett hard to explain. A very bad example is the new Zelda game that\'s coming out for GC. You know that Sly Kooper game, or whatever it\'s called? If you\'ve ever seen the commercial, that\'s cell shading.

It is 3D, but it looks a lot different than normal 3D games. I\'ll go get some pics, then.

*EDIT* Here we go.

There was a simular topic to this. X7 is 3D but the characters are cel-shaded which is a smothe, 3D looking picture which doesn\'t use poligons like MML.

An interesting fact to note is that Zero is nowhere to be seen in the latest previews of the game...

Heh heh, Dr.Cossack\'s right. It\'s true, you don\'t really hear much about dear Zero when searching around for previews of the game.

I found this, though:

Ø Mega Man X7 is in 3D format; however it appears that the game is set on the “rails” system – where the game propels you along a set path in a 3D environment. There are also three different camera angles, one of which is rumored to be a side-scrolling view.

Ø Zero is back in this one. This has been confirmed, as he appears in screenshots, and the game features what Capcom calls a “Double Hero System”.

Ø The “Double Hero System” I just mentioned above is a two-player mode. (Yes!) In this game, two players can go at it against Mavericks, or, like in Donkey Kong Country for the SNES, you can switch characters mid-stage if playing the 1-player mode. This is reminiscent of the Switch Attack in Mega Man Xtreme 2.

The game claims to feature three different camera angles, so there’s most likely an angle for a side-scrolling view.

Before you start swearing over it, note that most people suspect that the game is a remake of Megaman X1, or something like that. It most likely doesn\'t take place after Megaman X6.
