I looked around a bit for a thread like this one, and couldn't find one, so here it goes. (Also, I didn't place this in any of the Mega Man sections because this thread isn't about just one section of Mega Man, it's about all of them, so this part of the forum seemed the closest to matching the criteria of the thread.)

Ok, for the first part, what is your favorite Mega Man series, and why? (If you wish you can make a list of your favorites, in order from greatest to no so great...)

-Mega Man, The Original Series
-Mega Man, The X Series
-Mega Man, The Zero Series
-Mega Man, The ZX Series
-Mega Man, The Legends Series
-Mega Man, The Battle Network/Star Force Series

For the second part, what is your favorite game from each series, and why? (Again, if you want to, you can make a list of your favorite games, in order from greatest to not so great...)

Ok, and now for my answer to my own questions...

For the first part,

The Mega Man X series is my favorite of them all. I love it the most because of the story line, character designs, and the game play found in it. Every about just seems to be on a grand scale...just a bit more grand then the other series, in my opinion.

Here's a list of how I think all of the Mega Man series stack up...

1. The X Series
2. The Orignal Series
3. The Zero Series
4. The Legends Series
5. The ZX series
6. The Battle Network/Star Force series

Now, for my favorite games from each series...

My favorite from the X series is Mega Man X3. It has the hardest difficulty level of all of the X series games, and it has the most intresting upgrades (IMHO anyway). I loved the Golden Armor (as you may have guess from my avatar). This game also has my favorite Sigma body of them all, Kaiser Sigma. Also, I really enjoyed the heck out of all the Robot Ride armors too, and I really loved the way the Zero dynamic worked in the that game.

Here's a list of my favorites from the X series...

1. Mega Man X3
2. Mega Man X4
3. Mega Man X
4. Mega Man X5
5. Mega Man X2
6. Mega Man X8
7. Mega Man Xtreme
8. Mega Man Xtreme 2
9. Mega Man X6
10. Mega Man X Command Mission
11. Mega Man X7

Now, for the Original Mega Man series, my favorite game was Mega Man 5. I loved the storyline involving Proto Man, and his supposed turn to evil. I found the the level design, music, and boss designs to be exceptionally good in this game. I just loved everything about it.

Here's a list of my favs from the Original series...

1. Mega Man 5
2. Mega Man 6
3. Mega Man IV
4. Mega Man 2
5. Mega Man 7
6. Meag Man 3
7. Mega Man V
8. Mega Man and Bass
9. Mega Man 4
10. Mega Man III
11. Mega Man, Dr Wily's Revenge
12. Mega Man
13. Mega Man II
14. Mega Man 8

The in the next series, the Mega Man Zero series...I can't really say which is my favorite yet, as I havn't had the chance to play through them...

Same goes for the Mega Man ZX series...it may be just one game, but I don't even have a DS.

As for the Mega Man Legends series, I've played the first one but not the second. I havn't played misadventured of Trone Bonne either. I own all of these games I havn't played, but a lot of them are factory sealed, and I'll probably keep them that way for value. I'll probably buy used copies to play some day, when I have the time to do so.

I only own the first game out of the Battle Network series...and I never finished it. This series is such a departure from the rest it never really caught on with me. So...I don't have a valid opinon on it either really, besides the fact I don't care too much for it.

Ok I think that pretty much sums up my thoughs on all of the Mega Man Series, and their games. I'm very intersted to see what everyone else's thought will be! :D

I'm a Mega Man nut... I own them all, and have them in a lighted display case to boot.
(Excluding the Battlenetwork series...which I detest.)

lol... this isn't a 5-paragraph essay class; you can just type casually :p.

P.S. This is still the wrong forum, because there is an "Other Games;" reporting.

I'd have to say X4, and the Battle Network series. They were just plain awesome o.O

Hm... Other Games doesn't fit exactly either, because it's not really about other games, it's about the main topic of this whole forum, Mega Man. I don't really know where it should be classified...this was a guess. Maybe the good Doctor will know?

*bump*

I must say I'm a little disappointed in the lack of interest in my thread here. Apparently no one cares to share which games, and series are their favorites, and why they think so? Hm...I guess I thought this was a forum for mostly Mega Man fans, whom were very interested in Mega Man games... Perhaps I was wrong? Oh well...

I guess there is one other possability... Perhaps no one wishes to take the time think about it all? If that's the case, I ask myself, what is the point of a forum if people arn't willing to think and write about what they are interested in? I found this problem over and over again on the Capcom BBS...there wasn't enough interest from intelligent people there either. You'd just get a couple of people to show up, post a couple of sentences and then that'd be it. (Roughly what seems to be happening here.) No intelligent discussions or debates... I had hoped that I would have found a great lively forum here...was I wrong?
By all means, everyone, post what you think.

Well, I must say that I have played only one game of both the Classic and X series, numbers 7 and 1 respectively, nor have I played ZX. I have played all of the BN games, however (though 1 and 2 not fully), and all 4 of the Zero games (only finished 1 and 4). 3 is my favourite of the BN series and 1 was my favourite of the Zero series.

What if I don't want to post what I think? O.o
