This is a C/P job from another topic...
Alright, so for the record I'm a skeptic when it comes to ghosts. So about a week and a half ago some swimmers from a town or two over ended up drowning in the lake now here's the fun part, I live within walking distance of the beach (Lake Erie...>_<) and I have a habit of taking a morning run down the beach. Now usually I do this around 6 A.M., but I had insosmnia a few days ago (monday so three days) so I decided to go run out on the beach at 1 A.M. (Fun fact: the town curfew is at midnight). Now I can avoid police, but Spirits...no. I was right by where the bodies washed up and I literally felt the sand shake. I saw a kid a few years older than me standing there in a ghostly swimsuit. I ran like hell. The other body washed up about 100 feet from the 1st and another one appeared to me, so I did the next best escape route, climb up the rocks back to the street. Five minutes later I'm on the ground panting when I hear a scream. Turns out a friend of mine was walking home that same way when she saw something just like what I saw... Either way i'm spooked.
I do have a story from when I was in Colorado though. I stayed at the Stanley Hotel in Colorado not knowing that the place is a hot spot for ghosts. Now I was staying there because my cousin's wedding was a few miles away, but I left the place scarred for life. So first off I had a nice bed, heaviest comforter ever as it was winter time. I woke up at 3 in the morning shivering. A man with a cowboy Hat and a Moustache stood before me and the comforter was on the floor, I jusmped at him only to faceplant into the floor. So I thought it was just my eyes. The next day I went down to the bar with my dad at night to watch a chargers game that was going to be televised. An old man appeared and strolled down the bar, we went after him only to find he disappeared... Read more about the Stanley at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley_Hotel
Hey beautiful people, you're better off trying to e-mail me than message me on here.
Once I was running these trails down in the woods, by a very nice looking river-thing.
I was about to come to a 90 degree turn, with the steep hill to my right, I couldn't see ahead of the turn.
So this old guy wearing a navy blue jogging jacket, neon green shorts and a full head of short grey hair came up on my left, and he made absolutely no noise. None at all.
I sped up of course, wondering if this guy wanted to race (I was only paying attention to my own breathing, didn't realize he was soundless) or something.
He sped up, I'm just entering the curve.
I sped up, now I'm at a full sprint and a great big grin.
The guy's face is emotionless as he effortlessly passes me.
I'm astonished, and even more so when I get to the end of the curve. There was a straightaway, no place to hide, but this guy was GONE. Disappeared.
So I'm not going to have anything spectacular in my signature.
Woah, I just had an otherworldy experience.
I SAW FRED THE MET! HE'S A GHOST! :O
I don't know about the light or the bed breaking, but the shadow you described sounds remarkably similar to what Shadow said would happen if he was ever able to astral project himself in a way I could see. It just takes a lot of "ki" to do that, and maybe more "abilities" then I have at the moment (there isn't much magick in Illinois) to seeit if he did.
As far as the knife... I never knew you to sleep with one until after a different incident, which you specifically told me at the time was a new thing. Maybe you stopped for a while and then went back to it.
In reference to the WHOLE topic... the only time I remember at the moment which seems to be likely to have been a ghost is when I was driving down some unoften-used roads in Indiana with Wind, and I saw a boy with a red baseball cap standing with his arm holding a tree. It was only for a second and when I looked back he was gone, Wind~ suggested it was probably a ghost because Indiana is the most-haunted state, mainly to do with roads. Starngely enough, we were discussing the "dead hate the living" parts of The Bible at the time, so I was actually (stupidly) a little bit scared, but that did not have to do with me seeing the boy (I wasn't sure if I saw him and if I did I thought he would have been living) because I was not really thinking about ghosts during that conversation.
I have also felt both Wind and Shadow with me at various times. I know of only one time when Wind verified it was real, and I do not know for sure at this time if he meant it, and I know of many times when Shadow verified and about two or three when I literally physically felt him and could tell where he was touching. I have felt one other person I know only once, and that was during a "certain activity." Of course these are not exactly about ghosts, but they are about things most people consider to be "unexplainable."
If I can ever get Shadow to join this message board he will have lots of (cool) stories to tell you, but I have to teach him to capitalize his sentences first.
