Well, I've been eagerly waiting for the release of MP3:Corruption (according to the nearby GameStop that I can pick up on the 28 - on day after the big release -_-), and getting the new issue of Nintendo Power only made the last three days more unbearable - a perfect score.

Could it really be true? Knowing NP, maybe - they do tend to overhype the Big N's large releases, but they very rarely give 10s. Either way, I'm ready for it. All I need to do now is get through enough of school to make it to Tuesday.

Who else is excited for the Wii's biggest title yet? (don't argue this, please)

I'm certainly excited. Metroid Prime 3 is what's going to really test the Wii's capabilities: it'll be Nintendo's first Wii game built from the ground up (unlike Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.)

I am really looking foward to this game, I planned on buying it from the beginning, but the 10/10 score makes me really looking forward to it.

But I WILL say Metroid looks to be better...not the first, but better.

Teej, MP3 is the first built specifically for Wii from the ground up - PBR wasn't made for Wii because it was a big point for it to be - it's just made to be a 3-D Pokémon game. MP3 is made to use all the Wii controls to their full potential as far as the game goes, and it is the first for that, coming from Nintendo.

Or, that made no sense. If it didn't make sense, then ignore me.

How convienent that I read an article about it today in Electronic Gaming Monthly.

I'm incredibly excited about it, actually. Only problem: I simply do not have a Wii. -__-;

Solution: I'm gonna be spending a lot of time at my friend's house playing his game. ^__^

Is it the lack of money or shortages that are the issue?

If it's the latter, I can say for fact that Sams Club always seems to have them...I have no idea why just there, but it wouldn't hurt to look, right?

I am broke. That's what happens when you're unemployed and come from a decidedly poor family. As for Wiis... well, no one has them here. And we don't have a Sams Club.

I could probably hunt one down... and I could probably piece together some birthday/Christmas money...

I guess it's like when I got a DS. I just don't like rushing into a new system, even when a really cool game comes out.

That, and for the longest time, I was morally opposed to the Wiimote... I'm still trying to overwrite that period of prejudice.

The first planet should be rather entertaining, judging from the screenshot I saw in the latest Nintendo Power: It depicted Samus rolling within a rail tunnel in Morph Ball form, with one end crushed closed by Ridley's claw as he tries to attack her through the rail. Rather vengeful bird, isn't he?

Also, since the final 3D render of Ridley they showed in the article, you can see that he's still got technological enhancements on him, though they're far more high-tech then they were in his Prime incarnation, so I'm guessing it's a repaired and upgraded Meta-Ridley taken from the Tallon IV crater.

i read on a site that in the game there is a Panel that says something about Metoid project being near completion.

"Experiment status report update. Metroid project 'Dread' is nearing the final stages of completion."

guess what, Metroid Dread was announced in 2005

it might be just an easter egg, or a cruel joke by Retro

I hope Dread's real. I want some 2D DS Metroid.

You know, I've been debating this for a while...

On one hand...I've never liked FPS' they've made me dizzy...I dunno why, just always did.

However, this game actually has gotten my interest a bit...plus it'd be a chance to brag to RD again.


Well, I guess I'll drop by a Gamestop sometime this week. If they are sold out, I won't buy it and save it for Brawl and Galaxy...if so, I'll have my first ever FPS.

Technically, first person ADVENTURE!

On the subject, I picked it up this afternoon and finally sat down and played it for about two hours. It's a very solid game, and so far my most enjoyable experience on Wii. The graphics are superb and the voice acting is surprisingly decent!

Oh, and Meta Ridley fight is win.

I went over to my friend's house yesterday and played it for about 5 hours straight.

This is a seriously amazing game.

Oh, and I loved the little training excercise at the beginning, shooting the little metal pods into the air. =)

I'm gonna be so pissed if it turns out that's just something in the actual game and not an easter egg.

Please please please, finish Dread and release it, Nintendo. I hear Prime's great and all, but to be honest, I prefer the 2D Metroids a lot more than the FPS ones.

Seeing as there are the Wii-less, I'd best no expand too much on my game experience... *looks around*

Okay, the controls are naught short of awesome, but the 'adventuring alone' feel takes a couple missions to reach. Now that I'm at that point, I love this game.

Now, if only homework, studying, and all these things weren't going on...

My friend and I finished the game yesterday. I must say, I was quite impressed by this game. I was a little disappointed at three specific moments in the plot, but they certainly didn't ruin the game.

This is probably one of my new favorite games. It's just kinda sad that now that it is... it's over. :hehe:
