So i'm pretty sure everyone knew this game was coming out, or at least knew or played the other 2. I can't wait for this game, and am also very happy that this game is coming out for basically every current gen system. Also, I believe this will be quite impossible to get every single note on...

Rock Band will be better. It has all the features i've wanted, and a better song list. Only thing GH3 has on Rock band is Slash...>_< Oh wait, Rock Band has "Welcome to the Jungle" never mind.

While that may be true, it will also be about $100 more expensive...I do not want to see how big that box is for all of the stuff.

Yeah, but you forget something, that's assuming you get ALL the instruments. You can pick and choose which ones you want, and if you're getting the 360 version you can even use the Guitar Hero 2 controlled. Seriously, I'll get the guitar and the Drums, but not the mike since I don't need it.

I'm probably gonna get GH3 for Wii, and then get rock band later and play guitar for it, as I believe that you should be able to use GH3 controllers for it, I don't see a reason why you couldn't. Either way they both look good.

I play on Hard, also. Well actually I just started Expert but I feel most comfortable on Hard.

I've started expert too, but havn't gotten through the first Tier yet, I still haven't beaten hard, the solo in One at the end just kills me.

It tanks, crappy games, what? Are you saying guitar hero 3 is bad? It has the best setlist out of all the games, which the music in the game is the only thing that really could make a guitar hero game bad, and guitar hero 3 has great music.

The song list is missing a real touch to it. It is a very rushed and unfun set list that looks like it was put toegether in a hurry IMO, and the battle mode is bollocks. Seriously, Power-ups? DOn't give me that crap...>_<

Well I think that the set list is great, but battle mode does suck, but you only HAVE to do it 3 times in the whole game, and if your good, it can be over within a minute. 3 minutes of battle mode. That's it.

Wow Dranzer. Are you serious? It even has your 'Welcome to the Jungle' in it and you still call it trash. I'm rather disappointed in you man. I thought if anyone would change their mind about the game it would be you, but how sadly you prove me wrong. A shame.

ANYWAY!

I play it, beat it on Hard. Hooray. I'm slowly getting better at the game, but I've been focused on getting money recently so I'm playing all the career modes from Hard down then I'll go back to Expert (stuck on the prison tier). But, I dunno if you wii people experience this, but be warned, there may be host advantage. Find a match and see if the person presses a bunch of frets before the song starts and they get some points from nothing. It's on Live but I dunno if the wii has the same issues. Just keep an eye out for it.

I got it yesterday, it's my first GH game.

My friend and I alternated song-to-song and beat Beginner mode (yes, we ARE beginners). I was ready to die of happiness when I was playing through the last battle.

Battle mode is a bit tacky, but honestly, no complaints about the game from my view.

Just wondering, are you going to post your friend code soon Mr. Mettaur? I've been waiting to rock out for a little while now. No hurry though, I'm not trying to sound impatient.

I made the jump to Medium yesterday, along with a change of how I hold the guitar, fret button-wise. I give both green and red to my second finger (unless a double note, of course), yellow to the third, blue forth, orange fifth. Works better for me, I'll have to really putit to the test in Hard mode, though. D:

^ That's usually the prescribed method. Either sliding your index finger down to hit green notes, or sliding your pinky up to hit orange notes. Either one works fine.

(P.S. Hard mode isn't brutal...Watch out for Raining Blood, though. That sh*t will give you arthritis.)

Alright, so I spent last night at a friends house playing it again, I have my verdict set in stone now,

The reasons for this are as follows, everything bulleted under +1 is a point for the game, everything -1 takes away from the game.

+3 Excellent new graphics and notes, easier to play notes now.
+2 New guitars work much nicer than old ones.
+2 Hard mode is where it should be on the scale now.
+1 Headlining songs are for the most part good.
+2 Sounds have improved greatly.
+1 Career mode now works better IMO. (Although double-edged sword now too)
+1 Tina By Flyleaf is availible.

-2 A STORY!?
-1 Ridiculous power-ups
-1 everything but headlining songs and Flyleaf seems slapped together
-1 Cords!? what are we cavemen?!

overall 7/10= Good but not great

The power-ups I think are appropriate, while the mode itself is kinda preformed poorly, I really don't think its power-up's fault.
