Firstly, I think I've outgrown that phase where I get overly defensive about Christianity when it's being criticized. Even if it
is being attacked, it's been around for thousands of years. It ain't going away anytime soon.
Secondly, let's remember the target audience of this board. This is a
Megaman board. It's a religious board, it's not a political board. And both have
always been frowned upon.

Or maybe because she assumed that it was the kind of topic that would quickly devolve into a flamefest. Maybe not on your account, but that's not relevant. A topic like this causing a flamefest is equal (or greater) to the chances of a living organism dying; It will happen every time. A moderator's job isn't to simply punish those who break the rules, or to stop rule breaking in its tracks, but also to prevent them in cases where it's rather blatant how things will end up.
Especially in an F-ing Megaman forum.

If you want to get technical, isn't it spelled influential? There is likely a time and place for this sort of topic. Why on Earth do you think that a community centered around a 10 year-old robot boy in spandex is that place?
