I just got Fire Fox again today and a bunch of add ons and its SOOOO COOL! I love Fire Fox, its so customizable and it...it..it, it feels like my new home lol! I never was this connected to Fire Fox until I saw what it was capable of. Now that I see how good it is, I love it to death and refuse to use any other kind of internet browser.

I use Firefox personally. I've messed around with Opera, it's personally the second best browser out there. I don't touch Netscrape unless coding, and I don't mess with I.E7 unless cross-coding. So, generally it's Firefox.

I've heard browsers like Safari are alright, but I'll never give them a second look.

Now here's a question to addon to the topic. If you made your own browser, what would you call it?

I have FireFox and IE. Firefox is my main browser, and I have no choice on IE when using MSN messenger. If someone can tell me how to change that, I'd be grateful.

I use Firefox everyday, while I go with Internet Explorer 7 for some tasks (incompatible websites, testing, etc.). IE7 is so much better than IE6 it isn't even funny... I'm just waiting for the day that IE6 will really die so I won't have to support it anymore!

Seeing as Windows Vista is one of the last of the Windows series, I believe thats a null and void excuse now.

Windows, after longhorn, and homeserver are released, will be discontinued, so they say.

Edit: Come to think of it, Mozilla Firefox was one of the included browsers of Windows Vista, I do believe..I could be wrong, but thats what I heard, I never checked it out, or asked about it, but yeah.

I use Firefox personally, but Internet explorer for certain things (like certain flash games) that run smoother in IE, or other such cases. Firefox is the best browser in my opinion. Anybody recommend any good firefox ad ons?

I'm using safari as of now. (Just got a macbook!) Is it possible to download firefox on this baby though?

I use an add-on called PasswordHash that lets you use the same password for all of the sites you visit. By pressing F2 before you enter it, however, the addon mixes up the password into something different for each site, so it's still different.

Essentially, it uses a complex algorithm to generate a password that works both the base password and the url into a new password. It's consistent too, so every time you input the same base and url it will give you the same password.

Here's a demonstration:

First, let's say my password is: 123456 (It's not.)

And the URL: http://www.interordi.com

This is what will be generated every time: IKPEDQ7u

Even if it takes 10 years, it WILL fall out of use eventually, just like pretty much no one cares about Netscape 4 at this point (and that old thing sure lasted a long time).

Total nonsense. Microsoft released Internet Explorer 7 a year ago only, very close to the release date of Windows Vista. It was even advertised as one of the major new features (even if it's available on XP as well), so including Firefox doesn't make any sense at all. Besides, I have access to a computer running Vista, and Firefox isn't available on it unless you download it yourself.

Ah yes, I remember that. The deal was about Microsoft helping the Mozilla team to get Firefox working properly on Windows Vista while avoiding the possible incompatiblities. It's not related to actually including Firefox within Windows.

I've just downloaded the Password Hasher, but could someone explain exactly how I use it better. I'm not entirely shure.

To use it, simply enter your usual password into any password field (must be at least 6 chars) and then hit F2. Don't click in the field again though, or it will disappear.

I use firefox as well. And about IE7, it was included in the last Windows XP Auto-Update thinger. So yeah, most ppl probably have it by now.

I have downloaded so many add ons lately it isnt even funny lol. I have accuweather, adblock plus, cookie safe, advanced download, Faster Video download (lets you download videos off of youtube.), and much much more. I even have a christmas skin theme and it rocks lol. I used to download things with IE7 but it was very slow, then when I got Fire Fox 2 I was able to download things with what looked like a BLINK OF AN EYE! I was very happy to know there was something twenty times better than IE7.

Did not know that FF actually enabled faster downloads. I'll have to dl that anyway I guess when trying to play MMOs on my mother's slow-as-fuck dial-up.

Um, MSN messenger doesn't use browsers, if it did then when IE got an error the messenger would close along with the other 15 windows but it doesn't...

Either that or they're SMART ENOUGH not to upgrade (as is the case with most instant messengers)...

So yeah Helldragon, what happens when you're using someone else's computer? Or when your computer crashes and you get a new one and reinstall everything (especially if you can't find that program)? Then you have no idea what your passwords are...

It wouldn't be hard to find the hash addon. Plus, I don't log into other computers that often.

You know, I've thought that about many programs and websites, but then three years later when I looked them up, I either couldn't find them (in some cases) or they had been taken down (in others).

Also, when you get a new computer, and install this program, won't it generate a different hash then the one you've currently got is generating? I would think there's something the program stores in your computer to know whatr code it generated last time for X website.

And, the world must be ending, for it has passed the Acid 2 Browser rendering test, something Firefox didn't do.
