Currently on the Japanese server for the CC2 website, they show that they are working on some projects, the .hack//G.U. Trilogy movie that will be released in America next year and the .hack//DS game. There isn't much information ABOUT this game yet though.....The only bit of info they GIVE you is a lone picture saying "New DS project", "Coming soon", "To The-World". At the bottom center of that picture you see what looks like Kite walking up the stair way into the town. Even though there isn't alot of information about this game, I've looked some stuff up about .hack// and apparently, with what I've seen, it is based off of the new .hack//Link Manga that is being released in Japan. Apparently "The World" R:2 crashed and a new game "The World" R:X has been created...much much weirder than the last. I wonder what the game will be like.

Well I'd say it is since it's based on the new manga series that is currently out in Japan called .hack//LINK.

.hack//Link takes place a bit after G.U. 3 years after to be exact. BlackRose at this time is age 25 while Kite is 24 and they come back to "The World" which the version of "The World" from G.U. "R:2" crashed and lost all its data (AAAACK WTF can't CCc. do ANYTHING right?) Seriously though...this is the second time in the story line that they've lost huge amounts of data because of some dumb incident. This times different because "The World" is being remade from scratch and now there is NOTHING similar between it and the other versions which means Aura is gone/dead/deleted/etc....along with the other AIs that we loved so much. Tsukasa and Subaru also make a reappearance.

From screenshots of pages from the manga Kite now looks like a fusion of both his original form and his AI form (Azure Flame Kite from G.U.) And instead of his blades being on his hands at all times or in his holders they are now both crossed downward on his back and you can see the handles sticking up on both shoulders.

As for the Gameplay I think maybe you'll be playing as Kite again. Unfortunately Mac Anu and other towns as I've stated above resembles NOTHING like it used to be....Haseo is also going to be in it apparently only he lost all of his powers and special weapons, upgrades, and job changes (his different armors) D: so he just looks newbish again.

It also seems that they replaced spells completely with Tarrot cards so there is NO spell casting -.-....damn you "The World" R:X

GAH! They made a Playstation Portable version ahead of the DS GAME!!!!!! >.< that is SO not fair at all man....NOO...JUST NOO! Yea and it has a whole bunch of characters from different series included in the game like from .hack//G.U., Infection,Mutation,Outbreak,Quarentine....theres ones from .hack//Cell (a cool comic about a dead girl whos cells go into the internet and generate a PC body in "The World" R:2...so Im guessing this stuff is non canon or something because R:2 completely vanished from the servers and there was nothin left...but the girl from .hack//Cell seems to still be there...well I guess she could travel there through the net

I saw a trailer for link on youtube and it looks like you wont play as kite but as a new character. I have no clue who it is for I havnt read or looked up link.

:o it's only because he lost his memory dude, if it wasn't for Skeith data draining him back in .hack//SIGN he would probably be the same psycho kid from then lol. I think Haseo's awesome those chain saw blades are awwwwesome.
