The question goes to anyone who owns both games, or to anyone who might know how to get more information on this.

I'm aware that it's possible to launch a battle between a player of Rockman EXE 4.5: Real Operation and someone else using Mega Man Battle Network 4 (either version). The question is: how do you do it? The EXE 4.5 manual is all in Japanese, so it isn't a big help to me.

Within EXE 4.5, I see the option to connect to someone using BN4. From BN4's point of view, where should I try to launch the battle from: the normal game by using the Network options, or the "Operation Battle" mode (obtained by connecting the Battle Chip Gate)? If it's done through the Battle Chip Gate mode in BN4, does the player of EXE 4.5 also needs one, or it's not required?

Right now, I'm facing problems with the player on BN4 in Operation Battle mode: as soon as a GBA network cable is connected to the Battle Chip Gate, the game seems to lose the connection with the gate. As such, it's not possible to move forward. Unplugging the cable restores the connection to the gate, but obviously, I can't try to connect to the other player.

Any help would be much appreciated.
