I'm honestly surprised how much effort Capcom into making this one stand out from the first. All the overworld sprites have been overhauled, and battling is much more enjoyable, and wifi is fun.

Oh, I have nothing about Star Force 2... It's merely a matter of fact that I didn't pick up the game yet, even though I plan to do so shortly.
I'm glad to know that they made efforts to set this game apart, though. Star Force 1 didn't feel very original, and I was afraid of seeing a repeat.

InactiveAt final boss. Yuck. I bet this is the Andromeda curse that plagued me last game - takes me forever to beat it, then I realize how easy it is and never lose to it again, super version included.
I'll give it to 'em that this boss makes good use of 3-D effects, but... I just don't think it fits design-wise. Whatever.

I havent bought the game yet im planing on getting it today. I just need to sell some games at game stop first,but it is nice to hear that the game is a bit different the SF 1 I was never a big fan of the star force series.
InactiveI finished it. Not too hard, but worse than Andromeda. At least I got to G. Blazer him for the near finish - felt cool to just watch a 330 HP hunk get chopped off right there, leaving him with only 86 left. >:]
They dragged out the ending again, cheesed it up, and so on, but not as badly as SF1.
And now I have one mark! :] Time to start Ninja or Zerker!

InactiveAh... I couldn't ditch Saurian just yet. I'm into the Secret Area (somewhat) and I feel like I ought to start a different version soon. I'll probably do Ninja so that I can get Tribe King in both those files, then do at least one Zerker. (At least that's the plan - it most likely won't all happen. 
)
EDIT: I'm playing Ninja now - in Netopia, probably almost done there. I'm making good time. This is when you realize how much time conversations add to your game.
EDIT 2: I BrotherBanded myself. Now I have +100 LinkPwr, a Giga Chip in my roulette, and I can access Tribe King (it's insanely cool).
I just beat Ninja, onto Zerker (I think I'm gonna only do it once)

I just bought SF2 today and Im not that far into it. I'm only at the part were you have to escape from the movies and go to the tower to rescue the class prez.
So far I'm going to hold what I think of the game untill I beat it. Oh and I got zerker X Ninja and I'm playing Zerker.
InactiveWell, I just got the Zerker Transformation. I guess it's the best utility-wise - the paralyzing charge allows for combo involving slower attacks. It beats Ninja's disappointingly non-elemental charge, but its even with Saurian's powerful Dino Cannon (or whatever they call it).
I think I'm gonna just go for it and beat Zerker twice. I mean, what's so wrong with 100 more Link Power for every other file and another run through a Star Force game? Gets me more mileage out of the $30 I paid for it, right?
EDIT: Almost done with run #4. I feel better knowing I didn't leave a file behind. Oh, and it's funny to see just how much time you save by skipping every single event - it's quite a bit. And then not sidetracking for battlecards saves a bunch, too.
EDIT AGAIN: I finished the last run in 5:42. Not that that means much.
I used self-Brotherbanding to get over 600 LNKPWR in all my versions, and I got the item behind the door 600. Now I'm in the Trans Dimension - CancerBubble IF is nigh impossible.

InactiveI'm well on my way to the Standard Star, I'm starting on the Mega Star, and the Giga Star is gonna take a while.
It feels a lot better (to me) to have beaten the game four times and then go into the secret area. I don't know why - maybe it's the sense of accomplishment. The IF bosses got annoying but weren't too bad - all else I've seen in tat area wasn't so hard, save a few certain virus combinations.

With my birthday coming up, I suggested getting Zerker x Saurian when my parents asked what I'd like. Problem is, I don't think I'll get it, because it sold out in my town almost as fast as the Wii did.

InactiveI never really thought of MegaMan games as sellouts, but I guess it could happen elsewhere.
I'm inching ever closer to that Standard Star, all I need is a LOT of money. ZennyFinder + Gemini should take care of that.
I've also leapt at Mega Cards - I have all 3 for Cancer, Kung Foo Kid, and Gemini. Just a question - after beating an EX form, won't the SP form show up in the same area? I can't seem o find Taurus Fire SP even with FireSrch. Hmm...

I visited several stores in my area this afternoon, and none of them had the Wave Card Kit in stock. Looks like I'll be ordering that one online shortly. I did get the game itself though, of the Saurian variety. I should start playing it sometime next week.

Well i just beat ninja today and i beat zerker a few days ago and all I can say is I just don't like the starforce series. I mean the first one dissapointed me with nothing new and it seemed that cap. just kept to the roots of battle network and gave me the same game in a new package with new characters. Now I liked BN before anyone says anything,but I feel bord playing this game I mean thers a mission where I have to fix my blassted T.V! I don't find that very fun.Pluse theres the lack of story half way through the game and I still don't know whats going on or what the bad guys motives or plans are. I dont even like the characters,I mean I like Geo,mega and I kinda like solo but none of the charaters stand out to me I find prez annoying and Bud and zack shouldent even be in the games to me they have no point. Now they are doing this third game which looks like it has some cool new characters appering. I'm not even sure If a cool character could get me into this series. I mean I'v tried to get into it. I watch the anime and I play the games over. I just find it boreing. Imean I even feel asleep two nights ago playing ninja.
InactiveOn the contrary, I really enjoy the series, but the side characters with the exception of Solo do bug me. Personally, I like being kept in the dark on the evil plans until the very end.
I've added RogueSP to my less-than-10 collection, now I'm using CardFindr to get his low-level card without dying myself!
That leaves just Taurus, DarkPhantom, and Yeti to beat until I've "collected" them all - I love best combos! 
I've got the Rogue card, destroyed DarkPhantom (8:93!), got all of his cards, and beat up on Taurus (8:60). TaurusEX, Yeti, and Yeti SP are the only holes in my library, and once I get to Yeti, he'll be cake.
EDIT: I've gotten everything, all marks, etc. I'm on my way to the last last last battle, I guess you could call it.

I've seen the anime and that's enough to convince me Luna is a tremendous b****. RD's been filling me on her jerkitude in SF2 as well. Inexcusable. Can I say I hate that anime standard? I really do. What's worse is when the main protagonist lacks any sort of a backbone to stand up for himself. God, I hate that.
What's worse is that Teej says compared to SF1, Luna's a veritable angel in SF2.

That's not the opinion I have of her so far. She was pushy in Star Force 1, while she's been downright annoying in Star Force 2. I'm hoping that her attitude will improve later on...

Anyway, I'm enjoying the Star Force series. Not as difficult as the MMBN series, but still pretty nifty. I love the Easter Eggs you can find in the game that relate to the Epilogue of the Battle Network series.
I'd post my friend code IF I HAD ONE! I hate this stupid town and it's lack of places to get into Wifi... Bah.
