Funny, because I felt that it fit the stereotype exactly.
Avatar showed truth to the religion, I don't really think that's a stereotype because only people who know what it really is know about the stuff shown in that movie.
If you were talking about something else I'm not sure... to many pronouns or whatever.

Oh? And how would you have done it differently while still deliberately invoking the Hero's Journey?
By using better directing and MUCH better actors, as I said already. I'm not sure what you mean by "deliberately invoking a hero's journey," since that would be part of the
plot, which was fine.
You need more context in your quotes. And you seem to be getting angry for no apparent reason... They're movies, who cares.

No idea but if so
Star Wars is a bad example.

Didn't take you for someone who would condone sluts and prostitution...
For that matter now not only are you not including context, but actually removing it.
The actual quote is
Morally, you can't compare watching porn to being a prostitute, nor can you compare making although you can in some specific cases. This is pretty easy to figure out once you realize that 99.5% of people in 1st-world countries have a problem with people who use or sell or are prostitutes while they're married, but only 5% of those people have a problem with those that watch porn while married, and the ones that do are quickly corrected and hopefully ostracized as well.
Clearly this means that they cannot be the same thing.

The idea being that men who sleep around are paragons of manliness and women who do so are dirty sluts. Wonderfully sexist, no?
Sexist, yes, believed by the populace, no.

So alot of people will say, selling your body for sex is wrong - a statement that places the blame on the woman.
Uh, how does that "place the blame on the woman"? There are two people participating in the prostitution, and usually they are off two different sexes, so where is a "double standard" or "blame on only one sex" here?
Quote:
The problem with prostitution isn't the selling of the body, it's the pimps and the exploitation of women involved. It's mere conjecture, but I doubt very few prostitutes sell their body because they actually thought to themselves hey, I could make a buck off a fuck.
Speaking of this, I've met a LOT of prostitutes. Like, over 300. And almost every single one of them did it because "pushing this negative and disgusting energy into society while teaching children that it is perfectly okay to have sex with anyone you meet is a great way for me to get lots of money". I have only ever met one female who had a "pimp," and that one talked about how she was happy changing from one who took most of her money to one who didn't. Most of these "people" also like themselves.
Another reason that talking about "exploitation by pimps" is ridiculous, is because any female that chooses to be associated with this, has chosen to associate themselves with one. If they chose to continue to be a prostitute but not associate with a "boss," they could do that as well. The only exception is small children who are basically used as slaves and horrifically abused and are being raped every time they are "sold".

But my argument was never on moral grounds. Arkane made a judgment that selling your body for sex is wrong, which is exactly what professional pornography is. The performers are selling their body - while it may not directly to the customer, they are selling their bodies to an agency for other people's entertainment.
As Arkane mentioned that he sees no problem with going out and buying porn, what I said applies to professional porn you buy (or, steal). Anything else is irrelevant.
In that case you are being overly literal for the pure sake of annoyance. "Selling one's body for sex" typically refers to prostitution; it should be assumed that the poster was talking about prostitution unless the poster specifies otherwise. There is no reason to bring up an argument like that unless you intend to say that both porn and prostitution must necessarily fall on the same side of morality.

So I suppose most people in America also believe in slavery (solely because there has been no actual poll to determine the exact number, which is clearly and inarguably very, very low)?

And I wish that more people would understand this. Statistics can mean something, yes, but only if you know the methodology used to get the numbers, and the source itself.
This comment seems taken out of context as the discussion was not scientific in the first place.
I think I mostly know my own habits. At least, no one has ever told me I am doing something frequently that I didn't know I ever do.
Showing your uncle's site is an advertisement, not a topic of discussion "for the sake of it". A general discussion about "Which type of X site do you like best" might be one...
Why is there a "Canada Day" on the week of July 4th? Is it just so Canada doesn't feel left out?
I have a 3-year-old son called Loki. I think I'm one of only two people at this board.
...Pokémon wallpaper for 4chan? wut?
How are "Hot Lips" sweet? They're just wax, but unflavored. Unless you are thinking of something else called Hot Lips.
Obviously the best channels are Comedy Central and Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon has apparently come back and sucked less recently, but you know there is *no* tine for TV with so much to do on the internet (I have ~150,000 unread e-mails - that's an actual number not an exaggeration), if there was unlimited time for both TV and internet I would be watching Cartoon Network/Comedy Central, a few things on "regular TV" such as
The Big Bang Theory, TNT shows Angel and Charmed everyday, The Sci-Fi Channel (as "SyFy" is retarded) and BBC show
Star Trek of various flavors, there are a few other shows on The Sci-Fi Channel that I still like, Caprica will have James Marsters eventually so I wanted to see what that was like, as well as various movies, and then some anime on the internet because my Lifemate likes to talk about it.
