No, definitely not. The theme was Pagan.

Perhaps this is just personal opinion, but if you think that Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill were bad actors... well, frankly I'm not sure your taste in acting is anything I'd be interested inn.
They could be GREAT actors for all I know, but they did a horrible job in
Star Wars. Hard to see how they got any jobs after that unless they either a) had previous stuff as well or

it was just for the names.

It is just a movie sure, but it's also a cultural phenomenon.
...And that is why it was so confusing. I cannot see how it would hold any interest, except for the "if you're a geek you MUST like this movie" part. And since geeks weren't considered a good thing until the 90's, there's a hole bunch of time in between there where it's popularity should have dropped WAAAAY off.
The only fans of
Star Wars that make sense to me are those were actually around when it came out. Which at that point it had "great special effects" and possibly even an original storyline (I have seen older episodes of TV shows that had space-related Sci-Fi, so it's not actually the first, but maybe people thought it was.)
Of course, "Great special effects" isn't really a reasonable reason to like a movie. Especially since movies with HORRIBLE special effects can still be great movies (in the opinions of many, not as "my personal opinion", I mean).
Sean Willian Scott is Stifler.
Are you trying to say there is no such thing as a male slut? Because if so you are
EXTREMELY wrong.
Indiana Jones could not even be remotely interesting, unless it's extremely comedic. I haven't seen it. However,
Indiana Jones has to do with an uninteresting
genre, such as sports movies or movies that think they are somehow going to be "good movies" solely because they involves explosions or some shit. However, just because the subject matter is uninteresting does not mean it was actually a bad movie. Star Wars is just a
bad movie; there's a difference between that and an uninteresting one. Arrogant 70's-stereotypical-types males would also say
The Notebookis uninteresting. But that doesn't make it a bad movie.
It's not possible to make a good movie with *really* bad acting, unless it was done on purpose such as in
Scary movie.
Clearly this means that they cannot be the same thing.
No, it doesn't. You've dressed it up with more words but it's still an appeal to popularity. Your argument is essentially that the two must be different because people think they're different. Fallacious reasoning.
Okay, so you believe it is somehow possible to like one thing and dislike another while both are actually the exact same thing. And since more people have a problem with prostitution then do with porn, that means there are some people who approve of one but disapprove of the other.
Well I suppose you are entitled to believe whatever you want but the laws of science, the laws of the universe, and the dictionary all "disagree" with (or rather disprove) you.
Also one, and only one, of the two is actually illegal... so it's kind of hard for two things to be "exactly the same thing" when one is legal and the other is not =\.

Did you know, that 87.5% of Americans think that Europe is a fictional place made up delusional people who want attention? I mean, no actual poll has been done, but it's so obvious and inarguable.
...Well then go conduct a poll and "prove" that most of America believes that slavery is a good thing. Because you already know the answer is false.
And you already agree that that's not true as well.
So why are you starting bullshit on a message board that is supposed to be "less into it", ON SOMETHING YOU DON'T EVEN ACTUALLY DISAGREE WITH?
...Rather pointless thing to cause hostility flying all over the place about, isn't it?
Smarties is a stupid name for a candy anyways. WILLZ IT MAK-ES ME SMART11!!?1
Wait, stuff? Done? What? People do this?

Sexist, yes, believed by the populace, no.
Not as widely as it used to be. But you're just being foolish if you think the attitude no longer exists.

Speaking of this, I've met a LOT of prostitutes. Like, over 300. And almost every single one of them did it because "pushing this negative and disgusting energy into society while teaching children that it is perfectly okay to have sex with anyone you meet is a great way for me to get lots of money". I have only ever met one female who had a "pimp," and that one talked about how she was happy changing from one who took most of her money to one who didn't. Most of these "people" also like themselves.
Another reason that talking about "exploitation by pimps" is ridiculous, is because any female that chooses to be associated with this, has chosen to associate themselves with one. If they chose to continue to be a prostitute but not associate with a "boss," they could do that as well. The only exception is small children who are basically used as slaves and horrifically abused and are being raped every time they are "sold".
Anecdotal evidence; It's what the cool people use.

So I suppose most people in America also believe in slavery (solely because there has been no actual poll to determine the exact number, which is clearly and inarguably very, very low)?

This comment seems taken out of context as the discussion was not scientific in the first place.
It should be at least partially scientific if statistics are to mean anything.
Anyway. I enjoy NBC and ABC (network television channels) with some of their shows. Too bad
Heroes was cancelled after the first season.
I'm also a fan of Comedy Central, but mostly for
The Daily Show,
The Colbert Report, and reruns of
Scrubs.
Then there's USA (
Monk,
Psych,
Burn Notice, etc. Lots of great hour-long shows) and FX (
Sons of Anarchy!) which does a lot of good dramas as well.
