Normally I'm skeptical about book adaptations, but...consider me blown away.
I recently saw a commercial at the movie theatres (Aliens vs Monsters) about this. The book was my all time favorite, childhood wise.
I am looking forward to this movie.

It's a childrens book, about a boy who was sent to bed without supper. She tells him that he is such a wild thing. He goes into his closet to find the place 'Where the Wild Things are." The boy scares them, so they make him king.
All in all, it's a story on how someone's imagination can go wild.

It weirds me out when they turn picture books into movies.
I originally did not know that Shrek was a picture book by William Steig.
Needlessly to say that I really *distrust* the movie adaption as it seems that it's Dreamworks' version of bashing on Disney as the book was just about an ugly orge who found a female orge who was even uglier than him!
Hope the adaption for Where the Wild Things Are (by Maurice Sendak) is intact.

One of the Main reasons I'm looking forward to it, is because I know where I can find the book. Next time I get a chance to get out there, I'm gauranteed getting it.
Plus, I am wondering what kind of characteristics the Wild Things gain.
Not to mention a whole new twist that the movie provides.
