Alright so I am doing my 6 page research paper on genetically modified foods for english class. I have to read a lot about food, yum. Well I drink soy milk because of personal reasons and that's okay (nothing to do with my health).
And some people may turn to it because it could be considered healthier.

Well, I was reading something, and it stated "soy products cause cancer"
Then I read an article on milk, and it said "milk causes cancer"
I read an article on GMOs, and it said "GMOs can cause cancer"
I read an article on processed foods, and it said "processed foods cause cancer"
I read an article on organic foods, and it said "organic foods can cause cancer"

At this point I'm getting a little agitated. Rice causes cancer, soy causes cancer, teddy bears cause cancer, coffee causes cancer, deodorant causes cancer, cell phones cause cancer, cleaning supplies cause cancer.

How should I go about avoiding mutations in my DNA?
0:
Really I'm baffled.
I thought I ate pretty healthy, guess I was wrong.

On my end, I'm waiting until a scientist declares that the recession causes cancer... :hehe:

Well, if you think about it, everything and anything will give you cancer and/or other afflictions. Eat too much, eat too little, eat certain foods with others, eat too much of one food... No matter what you do, you will catch something.

In my opinion, just eat. There's worse things to worry about (which you can at least control).

Cancer is caused pretty easily, I guess. Isn't it so that most cases of cancer go undetected because it doesn't get big and bothersome or invasive?

Anything can cause cancer. With just the chaos theory enough is said.

What are GMOs, by the way?

GMO = Genetically Modified Organism. You know, the bad stuff that large corporations want to cram down our throats...

Organic food can't cause cancer as a group, because all "organic" means is that no or very few chemicals were used at any point in making it.

I semi-recently read a "book" (actually a *.pdf document) by a woman who worked as a nurse for 30 years which said that she never saw anyone die from cancer, but saw many people die from the treatment they give.

Hey now, I am a Cancer. And yes, I tend to get Crabby when hearing my Zodiac sign, has a bad name when reffered to a sickness.

Every sickness is different, certain people get different types. Especially with your own anatomy.

I cannot take pills due to a minor spine ordeal. It caused me to have a slight handicap, half deaf. Quite literally, I have one fully operational ear, one nearly toned out complete, deaf.

I don't like to take pills. My mom once informed me, that she had a friend who gained cancer/sickness because of doctor prescribed drugs.

Food doesn't cause cancer, it can either give your heartburn and/or gas. Maybe if your allergic, but not cancer

Their coming to take me away, hee hee haw haw hoo hoo

I've heard of people saying they'd kill for a tan, so I guess suicide is the only legal option?

It's a rather stupid move as it is, anyway. Perhaps they think it doesn't matter because they are fucked anyway, but I don't see why still going for a tan would make things BETTER rather than WORSE.

I think it's worse, but hey, who am I to judge if someone wants to look like an oompa loompa.

That is the wrong comparison there, in my opinion. I mean, I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing more Oompa Loompas.

But I guess that may be just me. :o
