A Mega Man CASTLETROID? OH HELL YEAH.

I can tell alot of work went into this and I respect, but.. I don't really think this looks like the best idea in execution. Time might prove me wrong and it might be awesome but it just looks like one giant stage.. and yes, I know what Metroid games are like. I just don't really see that working for Megaman. Wasn't this series more about the weapons you get and less about exploration?

Though, the X series did have exploration I admit, with finding the capsules and etc.

Guess we'll see when it's released.

You're correct in your assumption, but that's also a different series. Cacpcom made changes to the gameplay with each series.

I don't get why some people think Megaman needs change. If you don't want Megaman the way it was designed why play Megaman? In my opinion what Megaman needs to do is what it does well, which is something alot of the sequels didn't really do.

Holy crackers! That is kick-butt stuff right there! Did you see that!? You can CUSTOMIZE armor parts from different armors! How manly! =3

Just like in Mega Man X8 and Mega Man Zero 4. Nothing original for that aspect.

I really think you all are underestimating the kickassitude of a Mega Man castletroid.

Nothing kickass about this. Mostly because Super Metroid style, while incredible, fits only Metroid, since that's what it's about. Exploring.

I'm with Necro, I don't understand why fanboys are so hard to please. They want change, but as soon as change comes about it's not the "right" kind of change and they hate it. Or it's the right kind of change but not the way they want, so they hate it.

No matter what Capcom did to Megaman, it would never please the fanboys. (sometimes they do please the fans though)

Or people just can't wait for the next game, or just want to continue stories themselves, that's why they're fans~!

I think when Capcom tries to look at different approaches for Mega Man, rather than expand the series from it's foundation, they explore new territory for him to exploit, and end up taking out the aspects that made the Originals good, for fear of unoriginality, I guess.

This of course, kind of contradicts Capcom's tendency to release spin-offs, rip-offs and remakes.

It's not a "change" that Mega Man needs. It's an "upgrade".

Mega Man is fine the way he is, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any room to expand the series upon it's already great foundation. If done right, assuming Capcom could be more confident in the Blue Bomber, and strived for the right reasons to be, and assuming they had the right idea in mind, the results could be great.

The fact that these steps haven't been taken, proves Capcom's disbelief in the series to expand and instead, resort to taking the spin-off route, for fear of corrupting the Megaman formula. Well, all I can say to that is they wouldn't be so doubtful if they legitimately knew how to expand the series.

Of course, that maybe a little harsh. After all, Capcom's the game company here. They should know what they're doing, if anyone. Maybe there really isn't any room for an "upgraded" Megaman in this day and age, if that's Capcom's decision and attitude towards the franchise.

If JKB is lucky enough with Capcom, his game could be a side story. Down the lines of MMX Cyber Mission and Soul Eraser. Which I honestly believe is what the X series needs. Sub-Chapters.

Plus, I agree with Arkane on the Upgrade sense.
