I can only think of the Yellow Devil/Rock Monster. But saying "twins" makes me think of the Twin Devils from MM9, so that will be my guess.

I would've considered the Yellow Devil as a "who" myself, but this is up to debate.

That makes me think it could the Battle Network and Star Force series. Those games usually come out in twos, and the series are a big moneymaking train for Capcom, hence abuse.
