Solar Man has potential, but I want to see how he fights first. For the time being, I've got a soft spot for Sheep Man. The idea of a SHEEP as a BOSS is so stupid that it can work beautifully.

As far as stages go, I wouldn't be surprised if I happened to like Nitro Man's stage the most. The battle background, with those little roads on the wall, looks a lot of fun so I'm hopeful for the stage itself.

Overall, I like this new batch of robot masters. They go beyond the usual Fire / Water / Ice / Grass types that are so common in the series, and the game will probably feel a bit different, standing as it's own, as a result.

I think I like Commando Man the best, he looks like a cross breed of Napalm Man and Search Man. I admit Pump Man looks a little funny, but he could proove to be one of the harder bosses.

Plus I get the feeling there will be two new characters. One of them is going to be the third playable character. The other, is going to be some sort of alien menace.

Commando Man's pretty cool, and Chill Man isn't that bad. Blade Man just looks flippin' stupid, as does Pump Man.

A rare site indeed...

Any ideas on who or what this new villian might be?

What's THAT supposed to mean? :V

Am considering another reaction video, except this one won't be mindless, whiny bitching.

Lookin' forward to it! :)

I did like your MM9 video rant. You had some points, that I think needed to be said, even if so many didn't like it. The point is that you care enough to see the series become more developed and consistently progressive, even if so many believe that it doesn't need it or it can't, simply stating "Mega Man isn't about innovation".

Personally, I'm hoping we get two fortresses, much like in Mega Man 4 to 6. That way, we get a fake villain AND more levels!

I still believe this, but the rant was bitchy and unstructured. If I do make a video about MM10, I'll script it out and, more importantly, throw some jokes in there this time.

I think we should talk about the DLC, since all of it has finally been released.

So, what do you guys think of the Mega Man Killer/Special Stages? The inclusion of their weapons, which are accessible to Mega Man? Bass' awesomeness?

For the new weapons, I wished the Mirror Buster had the homing capabilities it originally had in Dr. Wily's Revenge. I find Screw Crusher be actually quite useful. And I wish the Ballade Cracker was stronger, like it was in MMIV.

Overall, they're a nice alternative to using your standard buster from the start, and I do like the idea of "secret" weapons that can be obtained optionally. Maybe in later games, Capcom can hide a few past Robot Masters throughout various routes in the main stages of the next game, and allow you to fight, and regain their weapon. Finding these past Robot Masters would be completely optional, but would also give the player more incentive to play through Stages again, and also re-consider the order they tackle each of the 8 Robot Masters.

As for the new stages, they're alright. I really wished they were included in the main game, if only as optional/secret/alternate stages from the main path to Wily.

And Bass owns all, besides having to push down and jump to dash. I prefer double tapping forward.

As great as 10 is, there's something slightly off about it. The music has fades, as opposed to the abrupt transitions of NES audio. The color palette is a bit drab for this one, I was hoping for the interesting contrasts of 4-6. It's still very solid, and I enjoyed it more than 9. I won't say it's better than 9, but it's much more accessible and easy to lose yourself in.

I picked up some of the DLC, but haven't gotten around to playing it much. I really want to try the new endless attack...

I managed to finally get Punk's smug face plastered on the wall, so I've gone through all the downloadable content.

The inclusion of the DLC only highlights something that's bugged me with the game since the beginning: it's supposed to be about three fully playable characters, but only Mega Man is getting his full share of attention. The weapons you get from the Special Bosses go to Mega Man only, he's the only one to have a full story introduction (at least Proto Man is also in there), he's the only want you can clear the challenges with... I have more fun playing with Proto Man and Bass, but I'm always forced to go back to Mega Man to benefit from the extra content. It makes the entire package feel unbalanced. The X series, Mega Man X4 forward, always has two or three playable characters but they all get an equal treatment.

With that said, I love the inclusion of the Mega Man Killers, in stages done to replicate the graphics, layout and music of the old GameBoy games. They've made a bigger effort than I expected, and it made the levels all the more enjoyable.

Bass is easily my favorite of the three players, much like how he was in Mega Man & Bass. The long jump he offers (dash + jump) helps a lot for a few tricky level segments, and blasting away the shields of a few enemies never gets old. I find his use of the Treble Booster a bit odd (I was expecting something closer to how you switch to Power Mega Man and Jet Mega Man in MM6), but it works.

Oh, and this officially confirms that the damnable head-grabber from Mega Man 9 doesn't appear in any stages of the entire game. That's worth a mention.
