Well, with the release a little while ago, anybody have any thoughts or comments on how they did [or did not] do justice to the ever popular Pokémon Gold and Silver?
I personally think it is very nicely done, I went and got Soul Silver a couple days ago myself, and am enjoying it~
I got the game on release day and been slowly going through it. I think it is a good update to the original version. The additions are cool (capsule seals). Thankfully, they left out any new of the next generation Pokemon (until you beat the game, but I never play after anyways).
I want to get this game online but I don't have the right connection... 
My main team:
Leonardo - Skarmory - Lvl 30
Raphael - Scyther - Lvl 45
Donatello - Marowak - Lvl 30
Mikey - Meowth - Lvl 35
Trigger - Farfetch'd - Lvl 41
(I hardly use my starter Pokemon. He's a Quilava at Lvl 41 (due to rapid leveling). Maybe I should rename him from Logan to something else?)

Kinda off-topic, but have you looked at Nintendo's Wi-Fi USB Connector? It looks like it's been discontinued, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could find it in many stores still. It allows you to connect your DS and Wii to the Internet through your computer, so you don't need to have a compatible router.

Gen 2 has always been the weakest gen for me- you only got to see alot of the new pokemon in kanto, johto was really linear, and kanto was stripped of anything interesting.
Gonna keep waiting for my Ruby/ Sapphire remakes.

Well first, I exploited the fact that my sister has a DS and used trading to restart my game three times, transferring a different starter to her each time. Then I just transferred all three to me, and that's turned out pretty nicely so far.If I could get my damn router to be compatible with my DS maybe i'd show you guys my Pokemanz. But unfortunately, my router is perfect for everything except portable gaming systems, but i'm busy playing with the ports to figure out what's going on. However, current team:

Trying to do this without bringing over anything from Diamond, but it's tempting to just wipe the floor with all the bundles of joy i've got sitting there.
