Well, as far as more information goes, they've confirmed the introduction of at least two Pokemon (Followed short 100+ more). It's being released for the DS, and not the 3DS. It's coming out in Japan this fall, which means we may be looking at a 2011 US release, etc.
Oh, and Nintendo claimed that "every aspect will be reborn innovatively," but I have no idea what they mean by that.
(I'm one of the people who helps with the news on the site I linked, so I'm one of the first people to know about this stuff so good luck with that :V)
I'm really interested in the names more than anything. These are the first games that don't scream "COLORFUL" when you think of them...so for example, I don't think you could have named Diamond and Pearl "Black and White" and had it FEEL right, if that makes sense.

Meh, reasonable amount of excitement at this point. I'm still on my SoulSilver fix at the moment, when that runs thin i'll probably cling to this, but I like that they're finally changing the visuals from the weird 2.5d overworld and same tired battle screen. Every game has felt kind of same-ish since Ruby and Saphhire in my book from a purely visual standpoint, so we'll see if the revamp now proves better late than never. Not big on the fact that this'll be another 100 or so critters that'll be a pain in the ass to catch just so I can feel good about myself.

Gettin' kinda tired of all the dissenters about the new starters.
Do they do this every game? I'd assume so.
My favorite new one is the grass one, even though I like fire as well. Water...lolol I have never liked a water starter ever and this is no exception.
