Nothing too exciting, IMO. It kind of surprises me whenever Nintendo releases a new console and doesn't release at least one game for one of it's flagship franchises (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc.)

I don't regret pre-ordering my 3DS. The AR cards that come bundled with the machine look like a ton of fun, like Wii Sports was. If I had to pick up another game, I think I'd go with Rayman.

I can easily understand that in your case: the best fighters, and several solid licensed games, often never get out of Japan because of property rights. On my end, I've never imported a GBA or DS title so this is no deal breaker, but I despite any kind of regional locking regardless. I'd have purchased some Japanese DVDs in the past, but I wouldn't have been able to read them locally. I also had some trouble getting my legally purchased copies of the Rockman Complete Works titles to run.

Some RPGs as well. I recently learned that two of the Final Fantasy Legend games were remade for the DS. And there's been no hint at them being released here, thus I have to rely on fan translations.

With region locking, it'll be harder to play import games. I'm not looking forward to this at all...

I am extremely stubborn. It took a lot of thinking before I agreed that the 3DS was a good idea. However the design is screwy. The screens are tiny and they arent the same size, meaning bad news for games that have functions or pictures that span across both screens. Dont get me wrong the 3DS is an awesome idea but if I had to choose between that and my DSi XL, I'd pick the DSi XL because not only are the screens bigger, they're the same size.

For DS games, there will just be a black bar to make the images the same size. This will probably apply to any other future games that want to take advantage of the dual screen imagery.
