I just recently, as in a few hours ago, received my new Gaming Desktop, and was wondering what Steam games would be the best choices to get? I already have Portal, Left 4 Dead 1 and Left 4 Dead 2, and I was hoping you guys could help me decide on some good fun online games to play~!
Doesn't matter with compy requirements, my new system can play all the released titles, and probably a good chunk of them to be released later on.

[And yes, Team Fortress 2 is already on the list of what to get..]

Also, feel free to add my Steam if you want to beat up some Infected!! [Or TF2 when I buy it] It's on my ION Gamma profile in my Sig~!

What I have on Steam, outside of Team Fortress 2, are titles that I plan to play in single player mode only. Some of them, such as Overlord and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., do have a multiplayer component but I'm not planning to play them unless I also know someone willing to try them. In any case, I'll be playing Steam games more often once I get my own new gaming PC up and running.

By the way, I don't know if you did that on purpose or not, but your ION Gamma profile isn't set to be visible to everyone.

TF2 first and foremost- it's already on your list, but it has to be THE FIRST PURCHASE.

Alien Swarm is free and is really fun as well.

Audiosurf is a fun timewaster.

Garry's Mod is a MUST. If you want the full experience from it though, buy counter-strike:source and the half life episodes with it.

Oh and NATURALLY keep some money saved aside for when Portal 2 goes on pre-order. Steam typically lets people pre-load games and they just unlock when the release date hits.

Steam is the only way to play valve games on the pc.

I just finished Alley of the Dolls last night. I'm sure how I feel about the revelations about Yog-Soggoth, but other than that, I'm happy.

Not sure what they're going to do with Max's psychic powers once this season is over though. Considering they kept lampshading the fact that it was unexplained, I think they'll address that.

I actually don't like the 3rd Season, but that has a long explanation tied with that...

Really? The opening part of They Stole Max's Brain was probably my favorite part of any Sam and Max game.

Oh, and there was also a very special cameo in Valley of the Dolls that I loved.

Let me guess, the TF2 reference... ^^;

I loved the two the Hit the Road references in that episode. If I had to play Season 3 again, the only one I would be willing to play the whole way though is 304. It was almost perfect (minus the glitches and bugs, typos, and a few uncharacteristic lines from Sam and Max). It rivals my favorite, 204.

I think part of the huge difference here is that this season doesn't have a unifying villain. I mean, first you had Hugh Bliss directing the hypnosis plot and then the Soda Poppers behind Season 2's plot. Here though, you just have a bunch of different villains all after the MacGuffin.

On my Steam I have Jade Empire plus that free stuff Teej mentioned. Need to pick up Mass Effect since I played the first on someone else's Steam. I beat the sequel and now I want to go back and make a female so I can romance my boy Garrus.

Is that good or bad? I definitely didn't like this season, at all. It had it's good points, but the bad ones outweighed them.

First of all, that's just objectively wrong.

Seriously though, I felt this season was way more true to the essence of Sam and Max than the previous seasons. Much improved IMO, and the jokes seemed a lot less forced (Santa has guns! Hell is an office building LOL! -_-)

On the subject of the finale though, I was touched and moved. The ending is a bit... I can't believe they did it, honestly.

I thought the opposite. I thought it strayed from. Too moody among other things.
