In-game with steam atm, so I'm gonna make this quick:
Basically, fansites Serebii.net and pokebeach.com have been hit with Cease and Desist notices for posting images and videos from Black and White versions. PLDH has yet to recieve such a notice, and the same can be said of bulbagarden, another well known site.
Basically, the root of everything lies with a site called Pokemon Experto. It's owner, going under the name "Melkor" writes for the official Nintendo Magazine in spain, and got information prior to the game's release. He posted it, and beach and serebii instantly backed it up as fact, implying there were in on the whole fiasco.
That's where we think the issue is- posting Melkor's leaks as fact, rather than as a rumor. PLDH and Bulbagarden refused to believe them completely until the games were released, so we may have dodged a bullet that way, but we're still wary and can easily take down the content if need be.
Also something worth noting is that people uploading music from the games to youtube have had their videos pulled.
So basically, Nintendo is on a witch hunt with a steam roller. They want to find who's responsible for the leaks, and is tearing down the community to do it.
The interesting thing is that they are calling for the removal of this media "to prevent harm to the series" despite Black/ White breaking all videogame record sales UP TO THIS POINT. NOT pokemon games, but VIDEOGAMES IN GENERAL. It scored a 40/ 40 in Famitsu and is being praised by literally EVERYONE.
