The first 10 times, I thought I was just being an idiot.

y'see, even when my mouse is in the middle of the screen, or far bottom- left corner, and the thing just flies up to hit the X. And I never even click. My browser closes, and I'm left going WTH just happened. Infact, the 1st time, I had no idea how my browser closed at all...

Anyone know about this, or am I just being an idiot?

What matters most is what kind of mouse you use. Is it wireless? If so, low batteries could cause it to act erratically.

That's the problem. It's cable.

Odd. My mouse also tends to jump at corners from time to time (although not often), but I don't get any clicking effects.

Hairs can cause mouse jumping when they get around the sensor, and depending on the sensitivity of your click/double-click even the slightest touch could cause things to exit out.

Razors newer mouses come with in-depth control panels with the drivers that allow you to take your mouse customization farther than normal settings, even so far to control the x-axis and y-axis of the sensitivity.

So...if he doesn't have a generic mouse, should probably check into his settings.
