My guess? Very unlikely.

I have a strong feeling that Operate Shooting Star was released to test the waters on future ports and upgrades, and the poor sales quickly killed that idea. Of course, the fact that it was a half-hearted effort didn't help (no fully remixed music?). If anything is set to happen, if I go with what some staff member said in the Mega Man Battle Network Official Complete Works book, it'll probably be a third series in the Battle Network / Star Force line.

There's also the fact that a significant part of the team that worked on the BN and SF games is currently busy with Legends 3, so it'll take some time before anything happens on this front.
