Many people have made the link between Lego bricks and Minecraft since the two share a similar "blocky" look. Some people are rallying together to suggest a Minecraft-branded line of Lego products on the LEGO CUUSOO site, and the project actually has a chance of making it to market if it gains enough support (at least 10 000 people).

If you'd like to see that, be sure to head over to the site, register, and pledge your support to the proposal!

The project received enough support, and it was announced today that it passed the review stage. This means they are now entering product development!

I've got the feeling I'm the only one who cares about this, but whatever.

I got the chance today to visit one of the elusive physical Lego Stores, and they happened to have the Minecraft set in stock. I immediately grabbed a box and didn't let go until it was paid! The salesperson I talked to confirmed that it sells out all the time, and even their stores often don't have it on their shelves.

As timing would have it, the two new sets based on the Nether and a Village have been released today! They'll be available online only for the time being.

Actually this sounds awesome. However comma, I have Minecraft, so legos are no fun for me. I've been really excited about this for a while though. I might get a set some time just to have something displayed on my desk.

I dropped by a store during my lunch break today and noticed that a new set is out, for The End! It comes complete with obsidian towers, mini-Endermen and the Enderdragon.

Amusingly enough, I can't find it on Lego's online store yet, but Toys'R'Us has it listed.

I've thought several times of picking these up as I love Lego and have a huge collection, but these MC branded sets seem to have an even higher cost than your average Lego set and I just haven't been able to justify the cost yet.

Chuck Norris doesn't need garbage collection because he doesn't call .Dispose(), he calls .DropKick().

If you weren't a fan of the smaller scale, with micromobs, Mojang and Lego have got something new for you...

Six new sets will be released soon, in a new series. This one has the standard Lego size and playability format, probably making it much more interesting for some people! I guess we shouldn't be surprised at this: I spoke to a Lego store employee last year, and he confirmed that the previous sets sold with hot cakes. People do love their blocks!

I love how the Crafting Box version actually looks like a crafting table instead of sticking to the standard creeper theme of the others. Nice touch.

Aaranvor got the village set. It's 4 units that connect together. It's pretty cool. He built it all by himself, too, which is impressive to me because they are mostly small blocks. Thanks to Grandma and Grandoorgunner for those

The sets are awesome. We got first night and the crafting box, with plans to get more later on.. Saving up for The Mine set.
