I thought I'd post about this here since we've talked quite a bit about the hacking of online systems in the past several months.
The South Korean-based MMORPG Maple Story was hacked a few days ago. The player data of over 13 million subscribers has been copied. Thankfully, the passwords and Resident Registration Numbers (a national identification number, required to access most Korean online games) were encrypted on the servers.
13 million accounts were copied. The country has a total population of about 49 million people, which means that over a quarter of the population of the country is affected by this. I think this one will make the news over there for a while...
