Here's what I think could be a fun question.

Out of all the Mega Man games, which is your favorite cutscene, and why?

My favorite one is definitely Ashe vs Vent, the double MegaMerge scene from ZX Advent:

Everything is there, from the references to X and Zero's ongoing legacy to the music, including the pace of the animated scene itself. There's also that feeling of "oh crap, I'm about to fight my own character from the previous game". If only the fight itself had been a bit more challenging!

The Grey vs Aile meeting is nice too, but it doesn't quite "flow" as nicely as this one does.

(Double posting as it appears that the YouTube parsing doesn't work properly when including two videos in the same post.)

A close second would be Gate's announcement, when playing as Zero in X6:

There are multiple reasons for that one:
- Gate's awesome
- One of the strong elements of continuity from the X series is right there: Gate is projecting himself on the same large display that the Hunters used in X5 to track their attempts to solve the Eurasia crisis. Before X5 and X6, there were about no common elements between each game in that series, and it felt really disjointed at times.
- Alia's look on the third picture really shows all the conflict that's going on within her. She believes that her former colleague is wrong, yet she's torn by the loyalty she still feels toward him.
- Gate's awesome
- I can't understand more than a few isolated words in the dialog, but the emotions flowing through the involved characters are crystal-clear. The same cutscene without the voice acting loses quite a bit of impact.
- The dialog art in X6 was especially neat and crisp, and this one is no exception.

How about you? What are your favorite cutscenes?

Agreed on the Vent/Ashe fight. Grey/Aile didn't flow as well because her Megamerge sequence was that of a magical girl's. That and she didn't make herself look like an archangel when her blond hair appeared.
