But the board was a lot better in my ol\' days. Less SPAM, more motivation to be here..the last 2 months were full of these nOOb attacks. I\'ve lost most of my interest here because of that. Alright i\'m really harsh in banning 3 real problems is ALWAYS my limit. So if i had a board 70 - 80% of the members are banned already.

There are a few that i really want to hurt bad. I\'m not going to tell names.

Anyway creating a topic for these idiots is\'nt needed. Termination of them is needed. Anyway i know my words are worthless. So i\'m going to stop typing.

Actually, this board has been plagued with some of the stupidest threads I\'ve ever had the misfortune of seeing, locking and deleting. I tell you, what makes it so fun for them is the fact that we can\'t go over and pinch their ears to tell them straight away to stop spamming. I wish they did something a lot more constructive than louse up other peoples good time...

What i don\'t understand is when we were new we never SPAMed up the board, so why do they do it? It becoming differcult for me to move around the board because of the SPAM, my PC is really slow and looking through pointless threads wastes a lot of my time. Like i said before, to all n00bs, use your common sense, don\'t SPAM, don\'t try to be funny and make sure your posts are of some intelligence. They probaly won\'t SPAM here and go and SPAM everywhere else, its typical of them. Some people are learning but others are doing it on purpose because they know they\'ll get off with it.

Ah yes, they always are better in the good old days, aren\'t they. SPAMing needs to stop, but I don\'t think that the powers that be are doing enough to put a stop to it.

I know what your thinking tengu...and i don\'t think it should happen....I don\'t want this board to end up like the suikosource forums....its horribly over there....they are terribly strict....you screw up once or twice your banned....if your topic is\'nt \'\'creative\'\' its locked and you get criticized by the admin....THAT is not what a messageboard is supposed to be...and another thing...cossack,yumi and break are nice people....it pisses me off when i see people like tutuman trying to f**k up this board and waste their time...:mad:

Yeah, it\'s bad when things get that far, what I\'m saying is we shouldn\'t allow that time to come. A bit of harshness now when it is not needed can always be taken away, but when it is needed that option is no longer feasible.

And I\'m not talking about criticism, lockings, and punishment for \"non-creative\" threads, but rather for senseless thread (like a certain \"deer parts\" thread that comes to mind)

Spammers have really increased since I was here last... It\'s getting quite annoying to see this board being turned into a lamer\'s haven... If nothing is done to stop them, I... I shudder to think about the consequences...:(

Spammers won\'t last here very long though. If they seem consistent enough to keep up with such, they will inevitably get banned by Hakase-kun. That\'s why I check out any and all topics that look suspicious when I\'m around. I can only do so much, but I\'m doing my share. I don\'t delete them immediately nowadays(I used to do that a lot) so people can see who are the troublemakers around here.

For the life of me, I still could not comprehend why the some of the older members initiate flame wars even if they are *supposedly* aware of the rules...

I can explain that... the reason why we didn\'t spam when we were new was because some of us had experience with messageboards in the past and that we have common sense.
However, the ones who lack past experience and common sense are the ones who irriate me. >< I\'ve given up on even trying to reason with them.
Which brings me to this question... what happened to Kujacker? o.o

The only thing i know is that she left because of a few projects on the board..
She also wanted the \'Welcome PM\' from Make to rate it. After that... Tornado? Hurricane? Oh well let\'s hope the best.

Well, we can hope so. But see, Doc is a very nice person. Too nice, until you push him off the edge, THEN you\'re in for it. It sometimes takes too long to push him though.



Because, that\'s the way we deal with things. If they\'re moron spammers here to make topics about \'how r u i ate my dog\', then we call them morons and flame them until a mod arrives to lock the topic. It\'s tradition. If you mods aren\'t here to lock it, then it aint our faults now is it? Those are the only flame wars I initiate, with lamers.

See, this board is going the way of that wacky 2001 Summer of MMO. Enker, the power-hungry mod locking whatever was making fun of him, and not locking spam threads that his friends or he created. Slash letting us roam free and trash the place, not banning n00bs for..who knows why. (Also not assigning enough mods for that crazy General forum) And last but not least, the rest of us trying to have fun, but going too far and causing all this spam.

We lost the General Forum then, and had to talk about videogames and that\'s it. Gasp, right? I don\'t really mind if we lose this chit-chat forum though, because we already lost it to \'splamers\' a long while ago. I really don\'t like it when quantity is preferred over quality.

Is it that difficult not to start tiffs with them? Those of you who often fight with those so-called \"n00bs\" are also partially responsible for more spam entering the board. If you just gave them a warning or simply ignore them, we\'ll do the rest when we come online. We try to fix things as best we can, so don\'t make it more worse than it already is.

I as well have had trouble enjoying this board for quite some time, due to the many lamers. Too many people seem to be making the most idiotic threads I\'ve seen in a long time, paired with an inability to type. Instead of finding anything interesting to read here lately, threads here lately have been mostly gathering of idiots.

My answer would be, \"Aku. Soku. Zan.\", which would revolve around banning the lamers in an instant. Really though, I know that\'s not the best answer, and I\'m sure Doc will come up with something alot better..

But yes, I too have felt the sting of the lamers bite. While some people might not like it, being abit more strict with enforcing the rules would probably be good. The board is abit too lenient as is..

But seriously, flamming with lamers isn\'t going to help even if they really piss you off, hold your anger Holly. I\'ve known a message board which has become bitter drew to a large attack of lamers. When i first went there the people weren\'t as harse as they were before, lamers made them bitter. Sometimes teaching lamers the hard way to stop SPAMing is one of the best ways but theres got be be a better way with dealing with them than being horrible.

Maybe there should be a topic where it tells new members how to act and behave, like a \"how not to be a lamer topic\". The SPAMing has cooled down a little, i\'ve seen some people have stopped butr the others who continue will be banned. I\'ve noticed a lot of Japanese have -kun at the end of their names like Netto-kun, what does it mean?

I may not be correct, but I think it\'s a some kind of term. I\'ve seen it applied a lot to males. (Whee, my knowledge of Japanese language needs to return x_X)

Kia/Rinoman: -kun is a term used to address males(sometimes females as well, but rarely used on them) you know very well or are subordinate to you.

IMO, topic reviving is not really bad, except in cases where newbies make only mere off-hand comments or urelated quips. That\'s why some good topics get locked(okay, so most of them are not that good, just making a point).

By the way, did you see that \"Who is dumber?\" topic? Someone needs to get out of the house more....:P

Doc has the toughness, he just needs to use it. I\'ve seen him chastise ill spellers, so I know it\'s there.

And I think if things keep going like that thread, there will be need for a Vile Mk III.

i think we need some more mods, like get some that come on when Yumi and Break don\'t, or atleast one more mod. because Break and Yumi come on a little less than they used to.
It gives the spammers more time to spam, and since they don\'t really obey us non-mod members, they think they can do it.

I remember when I joined, we had just reached the 100 member point. We had 3 mods and 1 admin to ensure the rules were maintained. As there were fewer members,there were fewer posts, and there was less mod power needed.

However, since then, we still only have 2 (active) mods and one admin, to look over nearly 400 members and 23,670 posts. Mods have less time to watch over the board now too. Many of our former sane members (i.e. Kujacker, Toki) have fled the sence as well. And lameness grows in vast numbers, and tells its friends to spread it. We see this has been stressing our mods (as Yumi said earlier) and our fellow rule-abiding members.
Our 2 mods are great, and our Admin certainly does his share. But it does appear that the need assistance.

I do agree that the degree of spam here has become a bit (read: a decent size) of a problem. I also agree that the mods aren\'t on enough. Please understand that I am grateful for what they do, and I do understand that you all have lives besides watching over this message board. But yes, we do need more mods.
