When I heard this earlier today I couldn't stop saying "AWW YEAH" over and over and over.

I'm actually excited about a SSB title for a change. Outstanding!
I'm pretty freaking hype. I just hope to God his moveset is strong enough so people will want to use him.
I saw that. It looks like he's mainly long-range, as expected. I just hope his moves do enough damage to make him worthwhile - I'm not expecting huge damage from a ranged character, but it needs to be enough.
Mega Man's jump animation looks about the same as his original sprite, which is amusing to see. Looking back, he also looked similar to this in Mega Man Universe, and that's where the style difference shows: while it looked goofy in Universe, here it looks cute and retro.
Now, I'm hoping that this game will have an online multiplayer component, and that it will work well compared to Brawl. This could be a lot of fun to play against people here!

I just hope the online works well on the 3DS version. I definitely plan to do a lot of battling with it.

I got the answer to something I've been asking myself for a while: no cross-platform play.
That means I might need both versions to be able to play with most people I know. Hmm.

Even though I can't even begin to afford this, I'm super freakin excited that this is happening. It's about time Capcom gave MegaMan his dues!
I gotta wonder though, did Capcom just do this because they realized they had severely pissed off their long time fans? Or is this going to start a chain reaction, and possibly the revival of some MegaMan titles?

Actually, I heard that Capcom approached Nintendo for Brawl, but it was too late to include Mega Man in the game. That'd mean that have been planning this way before the Great Cancellations Whammy.
As for a revival, it's possible. The inclusion of Marth & Roy in Melee led to the Fire Emblem series being released here. Adding Pit in Brawl directly linked to the creation of Kid Icarus Uprising. The reactions to Mega Man's reveal were strong and all positive. There's room for hope.

The only real issue with such, of course, is that it's Capcom we're talking about.

Just off the press: a GameCube controller adapter for the Wii U!
We're in 2014. We're getting support for GameCube hardware. This makes me stupidly giddy. Now I feel like I need to get a spare controller or two, as some of my current ones are pretty worn out.

The adapter is getting a stand-alone release ($20), a pack with a GameCube controller, or those two items with the game together. Niiiiice!
As for today's news, the announcement of the latest character makes me super happy. Kid Icarus Uprising was a stunning game; taking more elements from it can only be a good thing!
