I've noticed that my house was broken into, filled with smooth stone(From my chests) and badly patched up outside with stone bricks to not draw attention. I have also noticed in some houses with locked doors, glass has been broken so an individual could enter them.

Checked it out. The stats don't match anything within the last month. It looks like whoever hit it did it a long while ago. They've either been banned for other things or moved on by now. Any losses or destroyed property should be reported to staff and they will be replaced.
