We're getting new stone types in 1.8, apparently! Their only purpose is decoration. I quite like how they look, and might update some of my buildings to integrate this down the line.




I was seriously annoyed to find out about this right after moving to 1.7 and it's new environment, but thankfully, Jeb isn't an idiot. All three main types are planned to be craftable exactly for this reason, while the smooth varieties are craftable the same way that stone bricks are.


Chiseled stone bricks will also have a recipe, finally. This happens days before I open the trading system to obtain them on the server, but I'll go ahead with that plan anyway. A move to 1.8 won't happen before some months at least, and that's big enough of a reason not to make everyone wait.

Surprise! One for things specific to the server / website / community, one for general Minecraft stuff.

not sure i like the new stone but i like the new recipes, and unrelated, the new skin options are gonna be interesting.
