As some of you may have already been made aware, we're currently working on a major project in regards to the Nether railways.

Due to the recent explosion in player base and overall expansion of the map, it's been deemed necessary that a reworking of the railways is needed.

To keep things simple, and easily edited in the future, the current rail system is being changed into the following:

There will be four main rail lines, one for each cardinal direction: The Northern Nether Railway, The Southern Nether Railway, The Eastern Nether Railway, and The Western Nether Railway. Each of the main railways end at the farthest settlement of it's direction, North being Sanctum, South being Windgrabah, East being Townshend, and West being Plymouth.

Along these railways will be positioned Sub-Stations, each named in order of the Greek alphabet. The farthest substations on each line will also have a direct connection to central station. Each substation is equipped with an auto-launcher that will automatically send you moving again after 5 seconds at the stop, to ensure that it's possible to get all the way to the end of the line without having to leave your minecart.
A special room is also being built in Nether Central, which will specify all the locations under each substation. Don't know how to get to a certain place via the Nether? Take a look at the Departure Room! (Once it's completed)

What's changing now are two things, majorly. One, private lines are no longer connecting directly to Nether Central. Only the above mentioned Mainlines and Substation lines will now connect to it. As far as portals for the rest of the world, they are being rerouted to connect to the various substations dotted across the mainlines. Each tunnel will only be moved after contact has been made (or attempted) with the owner, and specific details worked out.

At this moment in time, the Southern Nether Railway has been completed, and the Western Nether Railway is 75% into completion.
