Robin Williams has been found dead, apparently having commit suicide via asphyxiation. What the hell.

What. WHAT.

Aww, what a shame. :( He was one of my favorites, too, I don't think I've ever seen him in a bad movie.

you are now crying uncontrollably

i met zelda at a zelda symphony concert and she is just the nicest person ever. i have no idea how his family is dealing with this, what with every media outlet ever screaming HEY SO YOUR HUSBAND/FATHER KILLED HIMSELF.

Basically after hearing a bunch of assholes like Rush Limbaugh and Shep Smith get on the horn and call him a coward or blame things other than his depression for this tragedy, I've been racking my brain trying to think of any famous death that's been scrutinized like this. Seriously, the guy spends years facing his demons, and this happens in the end, and a huge portion of the media is acting like he committed a literal crime.

Hey beautiful people, you're better off trying to e-mail me than message me on here.

Just in case none of you didn't know. Robin had severe depression and anxiety, but he also was diagnosed with Parkinson's shortly before his death. It's a shame, the world has lost another great person.

Oh, and here's a little update. Robin was said to be in a struggle when he died. My guess, his new wife was after his money, so she killed him. She does have the best motive.

For some reason, it's always the people that we love most that get scrutinized the hardest. For instance, Philip Seymour Hoffman who wasn't really great at anything received an insane amount of public outpouring from the media in a positive light, despite rumors of domestic abuse and a long term heroin addiction. Stand this up against Robin Williams, where most major media outlets have at least one person attacking him, with the nicest thing said by these folks being 'who cares if a washed up comedian dies?' and it stands to reason that the only reason it happens is because it makes good news. Being outrageous about a beloved household name spanning two generations tends to outrage people, which gives these media personalities more attention. There's no such thing as bad attention in the media. I'm fairly certain that's what it boils down to, because even the most cynical douchbags in comedy (Louis Black, Bill Maher) made it very public that they were personally saddened and deepy wounded by his passing.

Why is it "What the hell."? Nobody knew anything about Robin Williams and his mood or personal life. For example if he was a cocaine addict or believed in Attachment Parenting no one would have known it. He is one of the few celebrities who had his comedy reputation only, with absolutely nothing else known about him, and his comedy also wasn't personal either. So no one can really say "What the hell" because there was nothing to say whether this was surprising based on Robin's personality or not. And, as we now know because his friends have told us, it was not. Actually there even was an interview done beforehand where he mentioned it, though of course this recent so not many (public) knew about it.

On another note, I didn't know there was a Final Fantasy XII 2 (Doc's signature).

I am trepidating to think about when Ron Paul or George Takei die. Both are great people and contributing to the world significantly every day of their lives (since becoming known, or in George's case, "more known"). Both are too old and they are both at 100% mental acuity but it's still scary that the only two real-impact celebrities are both so old in age. It will be a terrible tragedy when either dies, making everything improved before then.
