I understood that Kag is the owner of these two users, who's only purpose is to idle near his farms to keep the chunks loaded.

I understand that maybe he is working on a really big project, but that doesn't explain why he needs SO MUCH IRON AND PUMPKINS (they are always online!).

It really annoys me and I believe that maybe some other players since it causes lag (sometimes the lag is so hard that it is almost impossible to play) - and don't tell me that his farms are lag-proof, because every farm causes lag.

I don't believe that the lag is client-side since I am playing smoothly on other servers and realms.

Can you do something about that? It really ruins the game-play for me, and I got some pretty big projects I am working on that I would like to continue, but unfortunately it is impossible because of the lag Kag and his bots cause.

Just to clear this up, Iron_Fact and Dark_Fact belong to Kag. Pumpkin_Fact is run by Sora.

We had some actual lag issues some time back and ran detailed tests to narrow it down. It was since fixed, and things have been running smoothly since. Most notably, we've had more than 20 players online at the same time, including the idlers, and the server kept running at its full speed. Each farm, heck, each player online obviously has an impact, but the farm designs we're talking about have been analyzed and we know they are no trouble to other players. The logs I generated at the worst of the server stability problems confirmed that.

For the record, the two servers we now have are hosted in Chicago. Your distance to that city will obviously influence the quality of the connection, although we've had players in the UK and Japan who reported being able to play just fine.

They're probably about as lag free as you'll find. Unlike most spawners/grinders that folks use, mobs do not build up at my iron farm. Golems spawn, get dropped, burned, and die. The only constant are the villagers so it's not like I've got hundreds of entities running around. In addition, Iron_Fact idles at a Y of 156 putting him roughly 86 blocks above ground. This provides the added benefit of limiting the amount of additional mobs (zombie, skeleton, etc.) that spawn in the area, and those that do will naturally despawn due to no player being within 32 blocks.

Yeah, don't point the finger at me. With a handful of people on, the server consistently runs at full ticks/speed even with me idling. Why you'd have issues with lag here versus other servers I can't say. Could be a difference in the spawn limits between servers - even with the tweaks Doc made awhile back, it still seems like we get a lot of mobs popping up.
