I don't relish voice chat myself, but the mumble is a welcome for people that do. The client is lightweight, voice clarity is great, and people can type if they don't want to talk. It also doesn't require an account linked to everything about you, nor a buddylist to share with others.

The most favored voice chat otherwise is Skype, a bloated, heavy resource program. Personally, I feel the mumble, although not used much, should stick around. It'd be perfect for making the podcasts, especially with guests, and those who refuse to, or can't use skype.

Even moreso if we plan to make podcasts a regular thing, and possibly try gathering people during event night.

That's just my thoughts on it.

Originally I didn't like voice chat either but after playing on games with people like wind and some other friends of mine and even randoms that show up in my stream or even on other streams I watch. Now I feel that I like it way more than typing or just not talking at all now.

If people aren't going to use it then there isn't much point to it. That being said it has seen some use a few weeks ago for a decent amount of time even though it wasn't for minecraft. and its always good to have the option to use something that isn't skype that everyone one can use. But in the end its up to Doc to decide if its worth keeping up or not.

What Xilos said. Though I might be biased because mumble is the only thing a couple of my gaming buddies can run and we've totally hijacked the Creeper's Lab Mumble .

So Doc, comes down to it since you took the old server down.. We keeping the mumble? I tried it and it still connected, but I assume that'll stop whenever the old host finally drops.
