In Mega Man X6, Zero\'s rank goes down the crapper because everyone blames him for their problems. Don\'t know if someone already mentioned this.

Now, to get into every little technicality X is better-he uses long range weapon. This isn\'t a measure of power though. Zero and X do the same damage with their weapons. Zero is faster and uses combo attacks, X is slow as hell but tries to stay back and go trigger-happy.

id say zero although in the most part it would be a fair fight

The advantage x has is that he has his armors but plan x will get rocked.

I think the fight would be pretty evenly matched even if X didn\'t use his armors. Throughout the whole series the two have been evenly matched in terms of strength.

I believe that X would ultimately win in a fight (most of my reasons are in my earlier posts). He would just have to overcome any reluctance about going all out against his friend first, I think Zero would also struggle some with the idea of going all out against X.

if x had any kinda armor or all his attacks X would have a much better chace of winning

BUT!You are missing this point!X\'s Buster is long range so in a battle if X could find a way to stay away from Zero by using a dash upgrade in his armor((I only have to gameboy version so be careful on my words))Zero would have a dis advantage because he only has a short range weapon while X has a long range buster so there.However,If stayed some short range and long range it would be even whil if stayed short range Zero would win.

How is Zero designed to be stronger?

Wily most likely built him to be powerful enough to wipe out Megaman, Bass, and Protoman all at once if he had to. But X is also supposed to be powerful enough to do that as well. There is no evidence that Wily is even aware of X when he is building Zero. If Wily did not know about X then how could he make Zero to be stronger?

Since it appears that by the time X is under construction the Light\'s other creations have been destroyed, it is reasonable to assume that he would make X as powerful as he possibly could (using Duo\'s power level as a baseline for comparrison) since Light knew that if were to fight he would face all of his challanges by himself. Therefore it would be neccesary that X\'s be beyond anything Light ever concieved of.

Besides if Light and Wily are equally skilled in making robots, why is it inconcievable that they could not create robots that are equal in terms of power. I also wonder how superior Zero could be when all of Wily\'s other creations have been defeated by an outdated lab assistant robot who was only modified to be a fighter, probably in a hurry too given the unexpectedness of Wily\'s first uprising. Unlike Megaman, X was built with weapons as part of his design, not as an after thought. That would imply that Dr. Light put a great deal of thought into how to make X a fighter, at least as much as Wily put into Zero.

The series provides no real evidence that one is more powerful than the other, though it looks like X is starting to beat out Zero in terms of power.

i think it would be zero because his rank as a flag admiral and an ace maverick hunter (all the way up till Megaman X6) i still would think zero is the best reploid ever!!(exept for that dang zero virus that makes him go beserk)

I don\'t think that\'s a rank used by the hunters. Besides in one of X5\'s endings X and Zero are called Captains.

I agree that Zero is an ace hunter but X is just as skilled and is only given a B ranking because of his attitude towards fighting.

Zero always had an attitude towards blowing up the enemy, but after he killed Iris, he began to think differently, he began to wonder about his motives and what he was fighting for. He became more like a person and less like a killer. But that never stopped him from slicing Sigma

I\'d have to say Zero, He has Back armor. Also, He looks way cooer than x. And in any megaman x game, I play as zero, I beat it all. With x, I lose quite a bit, The only thing good about x is the fact he has LOTS of armor, and His shots are long range ( i prefeer short range beam swords).

If Zero is so strange than mayby he could kill himself to repair X.

Zero\'s gotten blown up a few times and X only got blown up once in the whole series and X came back just fine.

I think the fact X has not been killed as many times as Zero would indicate him being stronger.

Sorry, accident. In X5, there are a large amount of options:
a. Zero somehow died to save X.
b.Dr. Light\'s holigram (how did it get there anyway) fixed X.
c. I\'m not suggesting Megaman or Roll lived, but Protoman... He just might have lived... You get my point.

Zero is stronger. Haven\'t you already beaten him in one of the X series games as he had the Zero Virus? The virus makes him stronger, too, so I think that X is way more powerful then Zero. I think that when you first start an X game and you have no weapons, no decent charged shot, no energies an pityful amount of health, then X and Zero are evenly matched.

I think that lots of people sasy Zero\'s more powerful than X as they like him better and they think that he\'s cool and he looks better. I say this. If you don\'t like X, get a Zero series game and NOT an X series one. They should NEVER have made Zero a playable character and they should never have given him the limelight of \'Why did I choose to fight\'. You watch the ending of MMX1 and you\'ll see what I mean. Zero STOLE it. That was one of X\'s most important things in the story of the games and Zero went and STOLE it. If they wanted to do that, why didn\'t they make a game :\"X and Zero\" like they did with \"MegaMan and Bass\"? I\'m disgusted by the whole Zero thing, I really am.
