With my background I used an image that was black and white, if gray happens to be there it wont bother it. I just set the contrast to 100% so it would turn out solid black and white then went to the layer properties and set it to \"Multiply\" mode. It just makes the whites clear.

Other than that part of the background making effects is easy. The magenta things were originally leaves that I painted on there and I used the motion blur. Some people make shapes and use the distort tool to make the wave effect and use a lighting effect to make it look shiney and stuff. It\'s hard at first but you eventually get used to it. (Most of the time I just sit down and experiment)

The cement like effect is just a bunch of different colors randomly put on there and the \"texture\" effect is used.

Hint: ALWAYS use layers to make a really nice image, the layers help so you can edit things without effecting another part of the image. Ex: changing the color without messing up the shadowing. It makes the process a whole lot easier.
