Does any one have Chrono Trigger still? It was a great game and still is. I just replayed it. By the way, how many finales are there?

Errr..I thought there were 14 endings. But I\'m not sure, that\'s one thing I haven\'t memorized about that game. X.x

And yes, it\'s possibly the best console game ever..hehe.

I still have it for the SNES, and for the Playstation, too. (Although I still dunno why I got it again...I probably wanted to see the pretty pictues they made for the FMV\'s. ^^; )

I play it once a year, just to be sure I don\'t forget that I have it. It\'s the greatest game ever made for the SNES, I don\'t care what anyone thinks.

THIS GAME DEFINED RPG\'S.

I think so, at least. Final Fantasy 7 wouldn\'t be what it was without a little....inspiration.

Or maybe I\'m showing my fanaticism again.

Reality swirled in a wholly blue manner, revealing absolutely nothing of merit. Things flashed madly in and out of existence like some entirely other sort of phenomena. On a whim, Kurt Vonnegut imploded, taking a sizeable hunk of Massachusetts with him. However, seeing as Massachusetts wasn't entirely sure it existed, the chunk wasn't all that big.

Yes I have it. Chrono Trigger was one of the best rpgs ever.

I got hooked on it the first time I played it. I could never find the game in stores when it was initially released, I did find one at a video rental store though, and I finally got a copy of it a few years ago. It\'s extremely difficult to find the game.

I believe there are 12 endings, 13 if you count the one you get when you lose. I need to go back and check.

One of the things that impressed me when I first played it was how some of your actions in the past produced a notable difference when you re-visited future times. I also liked the multiple endings and it\'s worth replaying it just to see the dialogue that happens at certain points depending on which characters are in your party at the moment.

Just checked, there are 14 endings.

And it\'s good to see that other people agree with me

Here\'s how to get the rainbow sword:

Spoiler (click to toggle)
First you should get the Sun Stone from the palace of the sun in 2300 A.D. and place it in in the sun keep back at 65,000,000 BC. Then go to 1000 AD and buy some jerky at the snail stop in Porre Villiage. Go to 600AD and give the jerky to the woman in the Elder\'s house in Porre, do not sell it to her or you will not get the monstone back in 1000AD. Then travel to Choras village and get Toma to give you his pop. Return to 1000 AD and travel to Toma\'s grave which is near Choras. Pour the pop on the grave and Toma\'s ghost will reveal the location of the rainbow shell. Go to Porre and talk to the mayor to get the moonstone back(if you already checked on it after 600 AD you\'ll find out it was stolen) and return it to sun Keep. Go to 2300 AD and pick up the full restored stone. Then travel back to 600 AD and go to the location Toma showed you, the Giant\'s claw. At the end of the journey, you\'ll notice it starts to look familiar and you\'ll encounter a very old enemy of yours. When you defeat the boss you\'ll find the Shell. When you try to pick it up you\'ll return to Garudia Castle and ask them to hold on to it for you. Return to 1000 AD and stop by Lucca\'s house so she can make some new stuff from the Sunstone. Then go to the castle, with Marle in your party, to find out that the King is on trial for loosing the Rainbow shell. After getting thrown out of the court room, go to the new set of stairs on the east side of the throne room and head into the treasury. Fight your way through the enemies to find the rainbow shell. Take a piece of the shell, the Prism shard, and return to the court room and fight the fake chancellor. When you beat him Melchoir will appear and head to the treasury and he will make the Rainbow sword and prism specks, I think the Sunstone is necesary for these two items. He also will give you a choice of getting a Prism Dress, the ultimate armor for your female members, or three Prism helms, can be used by anyone and is the best helmet in the game. You can also get a prism helm and Prism dress by using charm on Queen Zeal\'s hands when you fight her in the Black Omen. I think you can also charm a prism helm from a regular beast but I\'m not sure. Don\'t forget to return to the courtroom to pick up a key the boss drops and use on the one locked chest in the castle.

The best armor you can get for any of the male members in the game is the Moon armor. The best thing about the rainbow sword is that you almost always score critical hits with it. The Prism specks are supposed to max out attack power during battle.

That\'s not too hard. Here\'s how to get the ending.
Spoiler (click to toggle)
When you start a plus play until you reach the point where Lavos kills Crono. Then talk to the Guru of Time. Then go battle Lavos either through the Gate on the left-hand pod, the gate to 1999 at the end of time, the black omen, or use the Epoch to go to 1999. You\'ll get the only ending where Crono is dead.

Of course after you revive Crono you can\'t get that ending but you also don\'t have to use him in your party if you don\'t want to. Also the ending will be slightly different depending on how you reached Lavos and whether or not you broke the curse on Frog.

did that help?

I was just talking about how to get one of the extra endings. I guess I should probably put in a spoiler.

Actually one of the coolest events in the game is when Frog gets to go one on one with Magus after Zeal\'s destruction. I also like the ending where Frog and Magus duke it out.

I think the best triple technique in the game is the Omega Flare.

After getting whipped by Lavos the first few times I used Crono, Marle, and Robo so I could use the Lifeline triple tech so my characters could survive his stronger attacks and I could figure out his weaknesses. Now when I fight Lavos I generally use either
1)Crono, Marle, and Lucca
2)Crono, Lucca, Robo
3)Magus, Lucca, Robo

My personal preference is Crono, Lucca, and Robo. This gives you some strong offensive magic and some powerful physical fighters. It\'s also good since one of the characters can do healing(it\'s still a good idea to have plenty of Mega Elixers though).

First party that I won with, was Crono, Ayla, and Marle. Now I switch between that and Frog, Crono, and Marle. I really haven\'t got Magus and Lucca up to good enough levels in order to get after Lavos...

A good place to build up experience is the conveyer belt at the entrance to Geno Dome. Just remember to head back to the entrance using the dust shute to the far right after you get off the conveyer and repeat. As long as you don\'t beat the dome\'s gaurdian you can keep fighting enemies there.

Yes. I\'ve also seen the one where Magus and Frog meet for one final battle in Magus\'s castle.

Have guys seen the ending where you get to talk to the game developers? It\'s one of the first endings you can get in a +game.
