eep! i forgot! but still. i think its worth it. i HAD a system until it broke (the old super nintendo) I have never had a system scense. my mom and dad wont buy me one. so....the PSP is my only hope of getting CLOSE to a system. well, besides PC.

Just to tell you guys, this was already out for at least 9 months, its a PS one with a built in screen, and the size of a CD+1 inch, by 3 inch, it can ether be powered by cord OR by a special battery, THUS making it portable, playing it in the sun is also no problem, NO glare, BUT with a backlight, I bought it like 6 months ago when it was 800-900$, I bought it because my parents didn\'t let me use our TV for games,
Only like a couple of days ago I found a battery in the box it came in, put it in and it work, AMAZING, the battery is, of cource, rechargable.
I wonder if this other one they\'re realeasing is just smaller or something?

Microsoft is too big of a companie to worry about small gaming companies
I think they will later buy out too many companies and end up Bankrupt (however you speel it)

I just prefer the good ol\' GBA!
X-Box is probably gonna make a handheld too I bet, I just hope the battlenetwork series stays on GBA.

Anyways, I\'m with you Hollow, I play my GBA way more than I would a portable playstation.

Basically, the portable PS player would only have anyuse if you didnt alreay have a PS, and was too good for a PS2.

As for the portable microsoft crap, dont. Gates dosn\'t need more of teenagers\' money.

I\'m not into this whole Sony and Nokia portable bullshit though. They\'re just mad since the GBA is outselling everything else. Can\'t believe Microsoft hasn\'t bought out Nokia yet..

But yeah, that thing is going to cost alot of dough. Which I don\'t have so.. I don\'t even have a PS2 yet (not that I really need one..).

I think people are just feeling threatened by the thing. They love their GBAs too much, and instinctively despise anyone else who dares to try and get in on the act. Then again, that\'s to be expected. Predictable crap like that always happens.

To tell the truth, I\'m not too hot on the idea that handhelds will become 3D, either. I enjoy my 2D games as much as the next guy. But while I\'m speaking truthfully, I was less than impressed with the resolution of the GBA\'s screen. I was expecting better simply because I know they can produce better.

In the end, the only thing I\'m looking forward to out of this thing stems from the idea that the current handlheld Castlevanias are doing well (which they probably aren\'t). I\'m thinking if Konami\'s willing to take the risk, we might get a handheld Symphony out of this. And why does that matter? I\'m hoping that this time it will be complete, like the Saturn version. But unlike the Saturn version, the hardware will be able to handle it, and we won\'t have to deal with unbelievable slow-down.

...But I know that\'s got a snowball\'s chance in hell of happening. So right now, there\'s nothing that I really have to look forward to about this little thing.

Well when you\'re bad-mouthing the GBA just think about how cheap it is.It\'s probably got one of the best price-graphics ratio that I\'ve ever seen in a handheld.3-D games now on a handheld would probably have a bad storyline or graphics to make up for the memory demand that 3 dimensions causes.

Ok people. Think about the name.. Playstation Portable. All it is, is a, well portable Playstaion. I would like to see the 3d Final Fantasy\'s remade so i can take them wherever i want. Same with the Twisted Metal seris. My CD\'s got so screwed I couldnt play them... even on PS2. I think i would cost an arm and a leg.(around $100~$250)

However, since its CD based there could be some cd skipping issues, and i think its gonna be abit pricey.

Oh well no matter how it turns out im sticking with Nintendo.

I disagree about Sony being able to beat the GBA with the PSP. I doubt it\'ll happen- there are just too many issues with a disc based portable, in addition to the skipping you mentioned. Durability will suffer the greatest loss with the PSP- one good drop or jolt will probably have the ability to cause serious internal damage to the system.

As for sticking with Nintendo, I agree- I\'m sticking with them too.

What about anti skip cd players? I got one and it never skips even with a really good bump.:miam:
