Okay, I can actually help someone with battles here. (been a while.) Realize the following statements are true:
1. You have beaten the game, or are lying about your scenario.
2. You probably have multiple chips, right?
3. Your folder should include at least the following:
2 Invis chips (to help counter discord)
One program advance, either lifesword or z-canon. (to deal massive damage) Is that two ns or three?
Piledriver, or at least one GunDelSol chip. (also to deal damage)
Most of your chips after that should only be in the code of the P.A. you chose, *, or G, to avoid too many codes in one folder. Try to get whatever that chip was called that you obtain from the Lark viruses, that would help you. Also, Boomer chips would work too, probably. Try to avoid Navi chips... or at least, I think Flave might have Anti-Navi, he might not. I can't remember.

I vaguely remember BN4's GutsManΩ being at one of the corners of the big square-shaped area in ACDC Area.

I'm moving forward to get all the standard chips in Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel, and I'm missing the following two:

- Barrier200 (or Barr200)
- BoyBomb3

Anyone knows where I can find those? Neither Google nor GameFAQs have given me useful information.

Bn5 is my specialty, Barrier 200 is in Nebula area 1 Green mystery Data, the Oran Chip trader, the bug frag trader, and if you have the game set to level two, Under net 3 and Scilab 4 Green mystery Data.

Boy bomb 3 is Liberation mission 7 Bonus Panel, Bomber, Bomber EX, The Oran chip trader the Bug Frag trader. keep in mind that Bomber is only fightable in Level 3 in End area 5 Ship Computer 3, Old Computer, and Chip maker Computer. While Bomber EX aside from Liberation mission 9 is only fightable on level 3 in Undernet 3 Factory Computers 3 and 4, and the Chipmaker computer.

i own megaman battle network 3 blue, and i'm kinda stuck in one spot. im in the underworld, and i vaguely remember wat im suppose to do... but i do remember i have to battle a whole bunch of dark navis, but i cant even beat one, i need a quick way to level up. plus im bug style and i really dont think that form is all that great.

Bug Style is decent later in the game, in the beginning you don't have so many options to get around the bugs, so it's harder to operate. If you really think it's interfering with your battling, you can just go back and revert to Normal style in the same menu you access NaviCust in. The navis are not that difficult to battle, what's your folder?

Bug Style is awesome. Most of the effects are good, though some are bad. But once you learn how to work with all of the negative effects of Bug Style, you'll be good. Wood bug is my favorite.

Besides, there is no "levelling up". You can get programs, hp memorys, and battle chips. The best thing you can do is improve your folder and get some practice.

Note: I just got the first battle network recently (the only one I havent played yet). Im flying throught it because it's so much like the other games. I hate it that you cant run from viruses except with the 'escape' chip... what a waste of space.

You could look it up... I can't link to a complete list right now for you, but I'm sure that someone will later. They're scattered throughout the game. You get several from leveling up your styles (they level every 100 battles).

Ok... I come seeking Megaman guidance. Battle Network 6 in fact. Falzar version, but I doubt that matters.

As near as I can tell from Gamefaqs, one of the standard chips I am missing (Judgement, I believe) can only be obtained through a short trade sequence.

However, in my quest to get other standard chips, I (perhaps rather unwisely) made frequent use of the chip traders. In one of these exchanges, I can only assume that I rid myself of the Double Shot C that was required for one of the trading steps.

I have been unable to locate a replacement Double Shot C, both on my own and on the internet. Is there somewhere I can find another one, or an alternate way to get the Judgement chip, or has Bass finally succeeded in eluding me?

Man, that's a puzzler. I think you can press your luck in the Chip Trader for one. Other than that, I believe that the trading sequence chips are one-of-a-kind codes.

And JustcOne J (the reward) is awesome - to the point that it probably shouldn't be a standard chip. 200 damage to the center panel and 100 to all the panels around it? That's power. And with the many Elec-J chips there are, paralyzing an opponent in the center panel is no chore... :]

I've been getting kinda mixed results from sources on the internet. A few people say it's possible to get one from the chip trader, but it could take forever, if it even happens at all. The most common suggestion is to start over, however...

How about this, then, if you're set on starting over: raise some money and get Gregar version. I like it better overall, and you not only get to fight both final bosses and use all the crosses, but you can also get JustcOne J and then trade it, and I believe you can chip order it.

No longer a need. Luckily, it does indeed seem possible to get a Double Shot C from the chip shop's 3 chip trader. Crisis successfully averted. ^_^

Alright, cool.

Now I have a question: I can fight ElementMan SP several times in a row - finding him is no trouble. But does anyone have a decent counter-strategy? I've been using a J-Elec folder on him - the paralysis works, and it's very effective if I let him get into his Ice form. But that takes too long. I've also tried using HeaatCross to pin him in his Grass form, hitting him on the grass panels. It's probably the fastest kill strategy I have, but I just can't get the SP chip.

Just because I know that some people are gonna jump on you for this, but it's generally frowned on here to post several times in a row. For future reference, you can hit the edit button to put more in one post.

As to the directions, I don't recall specifically in either case. Have you dropped by www.gamefaqs.com?
