Hmph... live and learn. I knew I had to justify my Faves lest I incur flak from others who don\'t see it that way... anyhoo, here are my reasons:
Favorite Character: Eiko. I didn\'t particularly dig her for the lonely personality complex( believe me, I found her severely annoying as well. ). Eiko got my vote for being the best balanced White Mage/Summoner in FF9. Eiko has all the best Support spells (both in White and Summon), and the one spell Garnet does not have:
Full Revive. The Phoenix summon spell is my best bet to stay alive at low levels in case the Behemoth in the latter part of Memoria lets rip that annoying Meteor Counter spell ( which deals heavy damage and
never misses, unlike the Meteor spell Vivi learns... ) The Madeen summon isn\'t half bad either...(
Fast Fact For those who do not know this yet, Madeen is a typo in the translation in the game. It is, in actuality,
Maduin, Terra\'s father in FF6, and a non-elemental summon [weaker than Bahamut] in that same game. in FF9 he is now a Holy elemental due to the absence of Alexander as a usable Holy-type summon.) Lastly, Eiko did not go through any sort of trauma (like Garnet did) that causes her to discontinue a spell due to lack of concentration. Put simply, I picked Eiko because her abilities jived with my general strategy for the game proper.
Fave Summon: Ark. With the Boost ability equipped, the lengthy summoning animation is never, ever edited, which means I can get homework done in between battles( yep, I\'m that industrious you see...;) ) And even so, I never get tired of seeing that flying ship transform into a Shadow-elemental fighting machine which shows absolutely no mercy to any enemy unlucky enough to be up against it... Say, maybe if Alexander wasn\'t destroyed in the battle with Bahamut, maybe Alex and Ark can have a monumental showdown...eheheheheh.. just a thought
Favorite spell: Meteor. This applies only to FF5. FF7\'s was average, in 8 it was weakened considerably (it was more like Comet which was absent in THAT game), and in 9 it can sometimes miss!!
Favorite Airship: The Invincible. Both the one in FF3 and FF9( they had the same name.)
Favorite Airship Theme:Hilda Garde III. Now THAT is my definition of flight music.;)
Favorite world map theme: World of Ruin, FF6. I never get tired of that ditty.
