Nope, doesn\'t interest me at all; infact, I\'d go as far to say I am thouroughly disinterested. As much as I like Final Fantasy, online gaming just doesn\'t interest me. If I want to play RPG\'s, I prefer to play them by myself.

I\'m not all that big on RPGs, much less MMORPGs. Though I have seen this game in action first hand through means which will remain a mystery, and I can say it easily looks prettier than any MMORPG I\'ve seen so far. Of course, it\'s also heavier on th Final Fantasy flavor than any other so far, as well.

This game is gonna kick ass! I can\'t wait for it to come out! I don\'t know what class I\'ll be though.

Really i have ben crying over it...want to know why??? Because my dad wont let me play his PS2 and all i have is a Cube...:cry:

The good doctor brought up a point that I had forgot to say. The idea of paying a monthly fee for a game really doesn\'t appeal to me. Sorry, but I have better things to be spending money on instead of the same game every month.

Chaos, myself, I\'m not anticipating FF XI myself, because to me, this game isn\'t Final Fantasy. Sure, it might have elements from the series and the name, but to me, it just seems like an online RPG with the name Final Fantasy added on to help make it sell.

Therads of Fate was made by Squaresoft and had nothing at all to do with FF.

I WOULD be kind of interested in it, except for two things:

1) The character designs for FFXI are absolutely godawful, in my opinion. You have the human, elves, big green humanoid, small retarded Ewok humanoid, and cliched anime catpeople. And they all have the same bland realistic look about them that I hated so much about FF8.

2) Ever play an MMORPG? I had the misfortune of playing Everquest for a few weeks (my brother played it well over a year, god only knows why). The game was bad on so many levels that I couldn\'t believe it. I\'d go into it in depth, but there\'s so much I could say, so I\'ll try to be concise: The aspect of exploration is completely skullf**ked as virtually EVERYTHING attacks yo in the game when you try to leave whatever town you\'re in. The battle system is horrid, consisting of pressing the A button once and letting chance do the rest, and since healing items are ludicrously expensive, you end up sitting for 10 minutes at a time to regain your hit points. Top it all off with bland environments, people that treat the game like a chatroom, and a horrible customer service team (they took three days to respond to my brother once), and you\'ve got an experience I wouldn\'t care to repeat ANYTIME soon.

I\'m not saying FFXI is gonna be like that, but I seriously have doubts.

Take it the way you want. I wasn\'t targetting you directly, I was talking about those people who\'ll only buy it because it\'s written \"Final Fantasy\" on the package. Necro, our regular Final Fantasy fan, doesn\'t look forward to it, so I\'m not saying that all FF fans want to buy it.

From my point of view, that\'s another attempt by SquareSoft to milk the franchise. And then, it\'s a PS2 title, so I won\'t get to try it (I wouldn\'t be interested, anyway.)

Well, I\'m trying my damndest not to even get a PS2 (that might be dashed if Aliens vs. Predator is a good game, and has two player co-op especially) so...I\'m not touching FF online with a thousand foot pole.
