The longer you wait the better the sprites will look. Thats saying alot because the sprites are awesome. I had my brother, a programmer, look at the sprites and even he said that the sprites are some of the best he has seen in his career. Keep up the great work.

I came up with a few more Void ideas.
-His level is in space.(Like MMX4 Sigma stages)
-His level has many secret areas. (Put my miniboss in one of them)
-His level is like a maze, easy to get lost.
-The level will have a time limit because the space station is heading torwards a few asteroids.
-After you defeat my miniboss(which won\'t be required), the time limit is shut off.
-His weopons gained are:
--Lev1: Creates a small black hole. Weak.
--Lev2: Fires a small black hole to the mouse position, and carries Megaman to it.
--Lev3: Creates a larger black hole, and swallows up most enemies. It can rip off Met\'s helmets when they\'re hiding.
--Lev4: Creates a hole in the ground and pulls enemies into it. Megaman is also pulled in, so be ready to run.
--Lev5: Megaman jumps to the center of the screen, and creates a gigantic black hole where he is. Swallows all enemies, and can make walls go into it. Megaman then teleports back to where he was.
--Hidden Fred ability: Summons Fred to take place of Megaman until his health is at 0. Then Megaman comes back. Fred cannot use any abilities, but can double jump (not as high as Tango\'s normal jump). He can use his lightsaber to kill most enemies. He cannot be used at a boss.


So I'm not going to have anything spectacular in my signature.

Thats a cool idea fred. If this game were to come true it will be the best megaman fangame EVER! I just got a idea from fred\'s -Fred summon-. If you defeat Hublo (Hes hard since he can dissapeer... just a thought) you can summon him and can help him out with his own life bar and can fire at enemys , if megaman heads torwards a hole he can jump down and throw him back up then stab his sword into the wall to climb up :P Hes like another megaman but cant be used in boss battles or mini boss battles. Warning:if you try to use him in those types of battles Hublo crumbles into a pile of bones -how he dies is that-

Oh XIAYOU, don\'t you want to leave anything to the unknown, lol. I know you want to see them but I\'m afraid I can\'t show anymore Seekers from this point on, I don\'t want to rob you or anyone for that matter, the expression on your face when you see them for the first time, in battle. Also, I used your idea for Freon\'s Level 5 ability, I really liked it. As for the rest, I already have ideas for the earlier powers.

Thanks for the comments Flanders and Ultimate exe. Words like that and the words of others from former posts remind to keep going, to keep spriting, and to make this one of the better Megaman fan games. And don\'t worry Hublo, this game will come true as I intend to complete eveything needed for this game and for its inevitable 32 - Bit sequel.

And Fred, my savior, who allowed me to sit down and conceive the weapons, now drops these great ideas on my lap. The idea of Fred switching in for Megaman is awesome, I want that in! Also, does the character of Fred the Met have a backstory? If so let me know. And great ideas for Void\'s level. The only problem I have is that in the storyline, each Seeker is taking control of an area within Monsteropolis, so I don\'t know if we can use the whole space station idea. However, if, like I PMed you earlier, use Void for the sequel than we can make your ideas work.

Okay, now some new stuff. Below is an animation and a screenshot. The animation shows how the sub-menu will probably work, notice the experience points needed and the weapon description. As for the screenshot, it\'s a shot of Phobos\' level. I said earlier that each Seeker is taking over an area within the main city. Phobos took control of a warehouse and rebuilt it in his image. The shot shows three separate floors but don\'t worry, they will each extend out further and have more going on in the background.

I dont believe monsteropolis even exists in the games. it was probably a translation error or something rewritten. (they did change the name after all.) How about if fred is a met in service of wily that defects to rockmans side. maybe once you defeat him or something you could switch or even have a separate level for him. im not sure how you want to plot to be, if its serious and in line with the original series, or if its a quirky strange looking thing. i honestly dont think that you should introduce other playable characters in the main game, but thats just my oppinion.

Zero I just thought of a cool idea for a seeker you could use.Hybrid.He is a seeker that is involved with computers and technology and stuff.Well it was a thought.By the way his finishing move is like in battle network a virus gets destroyed and it gets all cube looking he shoots a blast and when it hits any one that happens to the person.His moves that mega gets are,

Level1-megaman shoots out a computer arrow that spins straight forward.weak
Level2-not sure, any suggestions?
Level3-megaman scans an enemy that is in reach for the weapon and they immediatly blow up.
Level4-this one if you make hybrid might be hard to sprite, megaman makes a printer come out and jumps in making two more copys of him which are invincible but megaman is still vulnerable to attacks.
Level5-this time megaman sticks out his hands and in big read letters DELETED flashes on screen and all enemys on screen get destroyed.

Well, Nayus, Fred\'s inclusion in the game does not have any bearing on the storyline. More or less it\'s my way of thanking him for his support towards this game. As for the actual storyline, the tone is very dark and serious, something I thought needs to be heavily injected into the Megaman series. And when was the name Monsteropolis changed, I must have missed that, lol.

Cool ideas XIAYOU, but I\'m all done with Seekers. Actually, it seems that Void will almost definitely have to be in the sequel, as I had to remove one of my own Seekers from the game as well, so the final number is fifteen for reasons I\'d rather not go into but the basis of my decision is due to the plot. So if I consider your character, he will be in the sequel along with Void, and the Seeker I have removed.

Right now I\'m hard at work, making all of the 60 weapons for Megaman, and those are just from the Seekers. I\'ve finished Solaris and I\'m wrapping up Psycho. Here is a quick animation of the Level 5 ability. Also, I was wondering if anyone can give me a site, besides Sprites Inc, that has sprites of the all the Robot Masters and Mavricks weapons, not the ones Megaman receives, but the effects and weapons which the bosses themselves use during battle. This is to Zero,not to rush or anything but here are some ideas form me and other people that I thought you should put in the seqeul to distant shadows.

Assassin-He would be a ninja based character that carrys to swords and is very stealth and his finishing move would be that he takes out both his swords and slices meagman.
Blayde-He would be based on a spike character that would carry around a big mace.
Cobalt-
Coil-A spring type person that has a funny looking appearence.
Frost-An ice based guy that loves top use sub zero temps to his advantage.
Gust-Loves his many fans on his body which he uses to blow any enemy that gets in his way.
Hybrid-He is like I said earlier.
Igneous-A remake of granite but bigger and a whole lot stupider.
Quake-Earth based seeker that can make earth quakes that can destroy citys in seconds.
Scorch-A flame based seeker who loves to play with fire.
Spark-thunder character that has the power to go through any electricle outlet.
Void-Freds idea which is in my opinion is the best.

I hope you like the suggestions.And by the way Im not sure what colbalts power is.I need ideas.And if you like the ideas then just tell me and Ill give you more info about them.Except Void thats freds dude and I dont want to offend any one like fred if you think I stole the idea.But i hope you like the seekers and I hope you put them in distant shadows two.BTW can you tell me if the A in phobos level stands for bass??? I was just wondering.I like the level 5 animation.I cant wait until you finish and we can play it. Sorry to DP but I just had some ideas.

OK. Void shall be 32 bit. As for me backstory(Which is a timeless tale from the beginning of my Fred The Met name, but I edited it so the purpleness is a lot more serious)(You\'ll have to put me in Chrono\'s level then)...
When Fred was created(During MM4), He was yellow, like most mets...but then, A certain blue robot shot him, but didn\'t kill him, he somehow survived, and it was his potential with the Force that let him live. He never knew he was meant to become a jedi until...
...Five years later...
...Fred rebuilt himself, and became a jedi. His purpose is now to defeat Wily, but has a burning desire to get revenge on Megaman...

As for the game, another idea-
In order to get Fred, you can\'t kill any mets in the level, and you have to do some weird secret(Like fall in a fake pit, or use Tango to climb up a ladder). And what music are you using? And how hard is it? 10 being hardest. Over 10, too hard for me to play.

And I\'d never make any of the bosses stupid, lol. :D The Seekers are a highly sophisticated set of beings. No one is smarter than the next, the each merely differ in their respective personalities. You will all get to know these personalities as I plan to have many cutscenes and such and dialogue between Megaman and the bosses to develop their personalities. Oh and the \"A\" wasn\'t for Bass. If you all watch the Sub-menu animation carefully you will see what it\'s for, can anyone spot it?...:D

I like the idea of not killing Met\'s Fred. That would be sweet and we could pack the levels with Mets to make it hard, lol. I was planning to have Fred the Met trapped behind a series of barriers and Megaman must have the proper weapon to destroy each one. The purple matches good for Phobos\' level so maybe we should have him there. Phobos could have spotted Fred wandering around and he trapped him since he was not sure where he came from. The backstory is cool by the way. As for the music, I\'m using Noteworthy Composer and Fruity Loops to make my own songs for the game. As for the difficulty, I want it to be hard, at least an 8, lol

Okay, just so we are all on the same page, I have a little plan. I have to finish 60 weapons for Megaman. Everyday, no matter what I will update all of you on the remaining number. As of now I have 45 left, and I did 10 today, so this number will decrease at a fast pace. Here are some pics of the finished weapon sheets, tell me what you think.

You have to get the A to use the A missle or Unknown made the letters like in Megaman 7, where you have to spell the name of a character for something to happen.

Well like fred told his ideas I will say mine for Hybrid.
His level is in a computer warehouse and in the early part of the game megaman gets shrunk and stored into a computer.Hybrids finishing move is like on battle network the show where viruses get destroyed and the cuby stuff goes on them and they dissapear well Hybrid shoots a shot that if it hits anyone it will automatically do that same effect to megaman or anyone else.

Megamans Moves

1-Megaman shoots a spinning computer arrow.weak.
2-megaman shoots out spreading arrows that cover alot more space.
3-megaman scans an enemy that is in readh of the weapon and they start blinking read and then blow up.
4-Megaman gets in a printer and two more copys of him come out surrounding him.They are invincible but megaman is still vulnerable to enemy attacks.
5-Megaman sticks out both his arms in the opposite directions and the screen flashes red while the word DELETE flashes on screen and destroys all the enemys that are visible on the screen.

I put some thought into creating hybrid and I thank you for putting him in the game.And if you would be cool enough I would really like it if you could make a sprtie of him.Not saying that you have to but I would thank you alot dude.I like the idea of fred filling in for megaman and the not destroying mets idea.Please kkep informing us os your progress towards the game I think I speak for the people that have posted here really are looking forward to the game.It looks like it will be an all time great.Well like I said before if you would please tell me when you expect the game to be done.:DThanx a whole lot. SEE YA!!!

Yes Fred, something with an \"A\" but what could it be... Flanders actually nailed it. The \"A\" is a piece of a character name, is it a new character, an existing character, oh the possibilities. But don\'t fret, I plan to include that ability already acquired in the demo, which reminds me, I got to get my ass to work.

Sexmaster, Renegade, as for the game\'s release, I would rather have things done right than have things done fast. Fortunately, the hardest things, boss sprites, boss attacks and new enemy sprites were almost done before I started this thread. Level design shouldn\'t be a problem as I find it much easier than spriting the bosses. And since I have everything planned out in my head, this makes the process move so much faster. By the way, did you all like the basic look for Phobos\' level, did you notice that purple light shining down on the third level? All I can say is, that is no light, hehe.

Anyway, back to the game\'s release. All I can guarantee is that I will never vanish without a trace or any updates. I will always be here to answer your questions and consider your suggestions. Luckily though, I put a lot of time aside to work on the game and things are proceeding smoothly. Speaking of which, 25 weapons now remain, I\'ve broken the halfway point, I\'ll post some pics at the bottom. Also, to speed things up, I\'ve decided to toss the Enemy Abilities and include them in the sequel instead. I found the 32 - bit enemies easier to work with and there was more variety so I think that ability would work well for the sequel. I do plan to fill this void though, with something that I thought of the other day and that in my opinion is simply awesome, hehehe.

Great ideas XIAYOU. I actually started a little sketchwork on Hybrid, along with the new and forty times better 32 - bit Void.(He looks sweeet by the way Fred but he\'s not yet done. I\'d show the 16 - bit version but I don\'t want to spoli his appearance since I\'m so far along with the better version, lol) I got the base sprites set and when I\'m not making weapons, I\'m trying on several color schemes to see which looks the best. Now the greater problem, do I show the sketch, wait and show the final sprite, or have you wait until the actual sequel, hehe, nah I joke but I would rather wait until I finish the sprite.

I\'m glad that many of you are looking forward to this game, it makes me very happy and it also shifts my spriting time into hyderdrive, lol. :D

(Note that the earlier Level Two Synergy power is now Level Three, below is the new Level Two power, enjoy)

I hope this topic doesn\'t die, that would make me very angry, lol. Anyway, I\'ll post the sprites later when I get them done, XIAYOU. As for the weapons, I have 20 left, I know, I\'ve been bad. I would have more done but I purchased Silent Hill 3 today and could not put it away, lol.

Well, back to business. Here are some more sheets of the weapons. I want to know what you all think of these. If you are curious as to what some of the powers do that I have not described, please feel free to ask me. I want to get every weapon done before I send them to Ace. When that\'s done and out of way and in Ace\'s capable hands, I\'ll be working on level design. It shouldn\'t be much longer, maybe another day or two. Enjoy guys!

P.S. - Thanks for the encouragement XIAYOU, I appreciate it. I am hoping for this game to be something special in the Megaman Fan Game world.
