a Windows xp virus was found in the net. it attacked my computer so i cant use the internet! (i just found out my mom has 2000 so its safe to use 
) a warning to all who use xp find a virus protecting software like norton as soon as you can to protect yourself! if not... you may not be able to use the internet anymore!

hey i got windows XP.... it weird i just heard of this virus like ten minutes ago and now im hearing about it again.....
If I can clarify: this virus affects Windows NT4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Windows 95 and 98 aren\'t affected, since they don\'t have the components targetted by this worm.

I have 95 and I\"m gonna get xp tomorow, but my wallpaper changed and my mouse was spazzin out and all posessed, like it would flicker up a alot...weird.

Well, its a bit of a relief that its only a virus, I noticed that my CD rom was begining to fail, then it did entirly, I thought I\'d have to buy a new one...
Also, it couldn\'t use the internet anymore eithier...when I found it was a virus, it may of saved me about $700

well well, the worm, I heard about it just this morning, now here. I have a 98, pretty slow but a souped up every thing, but I still got a 56k....my video card make up for that.......I also heard that when downloading the windows patch for the bug, they also installed \"the worm\" into webpage (somehow) when you visite the site you will get the newer versions of \"the worm\" and the patch won\'t work
so use a firewall and pay for it if you can, those are better

We have multiple firewalls and a coupla virus protectors like Norton and the like. I think we\'re pretty much gotten this thing beat.
However, my Gram\'s CPU is acting funny...after about ten minutes on the Net, it says that the Compy needs to shut itself down, which scares the hell outta me....DAMMIT here it goes again...

InactiveI don\'t think virus software will work. Correct me if I\'m wrong, but worms don\'t contain the components that virus software detectes and destroys. The only protection is a patch, firewall, or not having new versions of windows. Anyway, this worm is pretty much dead, now that the patch is readily available to the public.
