Heh, it really depends what kind of games you want to make. If you want to try and go for simplistic get Macromedia Flash.

Or better to hit the books and study some C++

The C++ coding for the game maker is long, a help guide comes with the game maker and if you go on the website theres a begginners guide and other guides like maze games there you can download. The game maker is a powerful program, if you know how to use it, you can not only make games but programs also, you can make a chat room with it as well. But i just can be bothered to look at the screen remembering all those codes, why can it be simple?

Thats true, they do use coding but the game maker is meant for the simple people. Its just studying all that coding, i can\'t stand it, what was the point of have the buttons on the object window that says stuff like hspeed and move they sould put every option so you would\'nt need to learn coding.

True, but since they\'re using raw code, they can make the graphics of the game alot better...
It\'s just better to go and learn C++ and remember what to put, rather than being confused by all thoses options...
