Post the games you want that never were released (in america, japan, whatever):
Resident Evil 2 (original version, or 1.5)
StarFox 2 (beta version is available)
FF3
FF4 (original NES version)
Numerous NES games

Yea, they came out with it but I wanted the beta version of Resident Evil 1. (That blood puzzle in the hallway before you \"meet\" Forrest looked interesting...)

Resident Evil 2 beta looked mega-cool! Leon looked different, there was another girl (forgot her beta name!) who was replaced by Claire, and the whole layout of the police department was very different. * drools *

I was looking forward to a game named something like Angel Warrior or Angel Something... I guess the game makers abandoned the project (or it\'s only in Japan?). It was about you and your buddy angels in the end times. You could help the humans and become hell angels or trap and kill the humans and have salvation yourself. ... Uh yea, it sounded interesting... ;^^

I think the girl was Eliza the biker or something.

Super Mario 64 2 was promised by Nintendo for the 64DD but it never happened :(

Bah let me rephraze the question:

What game do you want to play that was planned for a release but later canned?
(not a game that you want to have that never existed at all)

Maybe in RE 4, but wishful thinking, all around...

I wanted to see RE 1.5 also, it looked very intersting. Interesting how they made Eliza into Claire, they look alike in many ways, especially since they both ride bikes....*dun dun dunnn*

I was waiting for the N64 DD as a matter of fact, but Nintendo never released it in America...damn you Nintendo....

There\'s a whole mess of Nintendo games I want that never came out, I just can\'t think of any of them with a caffiene deficit. ^^;

Reality swirled in a wholly blue manner, revealing absolutely nothing of merit. Things flashed madly in and out of existence like some entirely other sort of phenomena. On a whim, Kurt Vonnegut imploded, taking a sizeable hunk of Massachusetts with him. However, seeing as Massachusetts wasn't entirely sure it existed, the chunk wasn't all that big.

Green version was pretty cool, but for some reason the Pokemon in that game disobeyed you TONS more than they did in Red and Blue.. I had gotten Brock\'s badge, and right before the Clefairy cave, all my Pokemon except my Pidgey and Bulbasaur, refused to obey me. O.o

Ok, I\'ll try to clear this out:

Quote:
Super Mario 64 2 was promised by Nintendo for the 64DD but it never happened

That project was split into 2 different games. First, when intervewing the nintedo staff about the Super Mario 64 2 project, they said that they were focusing mainly on Luigi and that when looking at the plans, it allmost seemed like Mario had allmost no role. Not to mention that Super Mario 64 2 was just a production name, like \"Dolphin\" was for the Gamecube. In other words, Super Mero 64 2 was(or might be) Luigis Manson. Also, the production of a new sequal to SM64 was delayed so that they could make SM Sunshine. The real sequal Is due next month at the E3, The production name is Super Mario 128. (SM Sunshine might have been what was in production, but it was not a sequal)

Quote:
The game I want is URA Zelda, I know that Master Quest is URA Zelda... however, it isn\'t the same. 64DD ver. of URA Zelda was totally diffrent from Screen Shots, it wasn\'t just \"harder\" version of OoT

Hmmm.... Well, Master quest was different than Oot, in the sence that they changed the layout in the dungeons slightly, but what you might have seen was the false pictures of Oot. I don\'t know if that\'s the case, but there were some beta/false screenshots that were published by gamemagazeenes for a long time. I don\'t have any pictures to explain but maby I\'ll post some later.

Actually, I don\'t think they replaced it. The screenshots were a teaser movie from the E3 (or was it the Spaceworld convention?.... never mind). Anyhow, the movie didn\'t go to waste, if you look in Super Smashbros Melee, Ganondorf is using the same sword he used in the movie in his victory pose when winning a game. That sword was never used in Wind Waker, so.... a tailer for Ssbm? It came out before Ww so there is a possebilety....

The game is actually going to be released now, as a new version od Red and Green, more widley known a Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green. Same improoved graphics as Ruby an Saphire.... But I guess you allredy knew that.....

*looks at post* Ops, guess I got carried away..... wel, heres my list:

Kid Icarus sequal (There was one but I never found it)

The DD64 (There was drawing games for it! DRAWING GAMES!!! *sob*)

The N64 gun (there were rumors of one being made... but it never happined)

Can\'t think if any more games at the moment. Must be the overload a a result of overwriting

never came out in English (yet--it may soon...):
-Rockboard (aka Wily and Light\'s Rockman Board Game)
-FF3j
-puzzle game for gameboy involving moving rows of black/white squares around (don\'t remember Japanese name)
-Pokemon Green version

never came out, period:
-Commander Keen game for console
-Voltron videogame
-Snood game for console
-Mega Man 9 (or rather, my idea for Mega Man 11, introducing a new human enemy in collusion with Wily)

There are others, but I can\'t think of them now.

Well, F-Zero X sorta had that.. X Cup was completely randomized.

It\'s awesome when you\'re driving in X Cup, and all of a sudden there\'s a VERY sharp turn, causing anyone going over 100km to fall off the track and die. :D There were only 4 people left in the race after that one..

I wanted this Zelda game that was a remake of A Legand of Zelda. It was soooo different though. Here is a artical of it:

You know how everyone says about how cool it would be if Nintendo made \"Zelda All-Stars\" for the Super Nintendo System. Well believe it or not, but there actually is such in Japan. Though according to my source only the first NES Zelda and SNES Zelda games have been transfered to the Super Famicom and *boosted* with some new graphics, though not as much as Super Mario All-Stars. But forget trying to find the game at the local \"Japanese-Import\" store, because it was only released for people who had access to the Satellaview.
You see, BS Zelda is a 16-bit console update of the 8-bit NES classic, The Legend of Zelda. This updated game was created by Nintendo for the SNES Satellaview add-on. The Satellaview, released only in Japan, attached to the bottom of the SNES. AT certain times, subscribers of Nintendo\'s satellite channel could download games for this system onto removable cartridges. BS Zelda was available for this system in four weekly increments, with the week four version being complete. Nintendo had planned to release this game on cartridge after the run on Satellaview, but sadly, this never happened.

Several years ago, Nintendo released a Satalite System in Japan called \"SatellaView\". It allowed owners with a Super Famicom (Super NES in America and Europe) to access Nintendo news rooms, multiplayer games and of course Games to download.

The Zelda project was one of the first \"Satellaview only\" projects and Nintendo is hoping that this will attract a lot of players. The Satellaview is \"going strong\" and why shouldn\'t it when you can download some great NES classics *boosted* up to Super Nintendo System graphic standard.

Nintendo started to convert the original Legend of Zelda game to the Super famicom and each week allowed gamers to download a small part of the game (a dungeon) and run it on the Super Famicom. It was called \"Zelda BS\" meaning \"Bandai Satellaview Zelda\" . The graphics were SNES quality and looked a lot better than the NES game. However Nintendo started to change the game a bit so that it was a bit different from the orginal. The first dungeon for example was completly re-designed into an \"S\" shape and the item you collected was a Boomerang instead of a bow & arrow.

Its rom is floating around the Internet at the moment, but Zelda 3 seems to be a partial version. The overworld background is missing. Infact, many of locations of the game are like Zelda 64. The second dungeon was Dodongo\'s Cavern. To get into it, you have to throw a bomb infront of the entrance. To kill the King dodongo you have to throw bombs in it\'s mouth. Sound familar? But even the stuff they left alone appeared in Zelda 64 like the first dungeon, you enter a dead tree! Anyway, Nintendo did never finish converting the whole game - it was rumored they were working on a new SNES game which was taking up to much time - and to the fact the Sataview wasn\'t getting enough people accessing it.

It was also rumored after Mario All Stars was released, that Nintendo were working on a Zelda All Stars which included the first two Zelda games revamped with new graphics and Zelda 3 from the SNES. It never was made though.

I also found:

While this game is a recreation of The Legend of Zelda, it is not an exact copy. The overworld map is smaller, and the dungeon entrances are not in all the same places. The dungeon maps themselves are also different, although the enemies and bosses are pretty much the same. The main character is different, as well. Instead of Link, who is the traditional star of the Zelda games, the creators chose a boy in a baseball cap, who is the mascot of the Satellaview. The conversion on this site replaces this character with a version of Link based heavily on the SNES game, Zelda: A Link to the Past. Another quirk of BS Zelda is that every few minutes a message pops up on the screen that says \'Listen Carefully\' in Japanese. After this disappears, Link usually receives a mysterious \'gift\' such as unlimited bombs. All of the text in the game, with the exception of some menu items, is in Japanese, although this shouldn\'t be a big problem for people who have played the Legend of Zelda before. Also of note is that when the game starts, Link walks into the cave and then waits for about nine minutes before the player can control him. The current version of SNES9X bypasses this waiting time, for those who play the game through emulation. A ZSNES save state past the waiting time is included with the patch.

The only known version of BS Zelda in circulation is a ROM image from a Satellaview cartridge. Unfortunately, the last part was apparently taken from the third week of the game, and therefore it is not complete and the game cannot be finished. Due to the fact that the Satellaview service is no longer offered, and Nintendo has essentially dropped all support of the SNES hardware, the public\'s chances to play the complete game are slim. The site\'s team of debuggers are franticly working on reviving it.

Yeah, they actually made this game for the PS2, it came the turntable and everything too, but it was only realeased in Japan, and it cost more than $100.00 if you were to import it, too bad it was never realeased in the US....
Percussion Freaks(A.K.A. Drummania)
I don\'t think they made this game for system but it would\'ve been really cool and may have sold a lot too....

Beats me. For a while, it looked sure that this game would get released in North America. Maybe the lack of an obvious goal within the game decided Capcom to leave that one overseas.

Lack of an obvious goal? Meet Metroid.
I could have used megaman anniversary collection for gba.

Battle and chase? get mmx collection and beat x 1-3. great game.
